  • Publication number: 20100033846
Abstract: There is provided a lens barrel and the like, which permits downsizing along the optical axis direction and in which the slide resistance is reduced. A lens barrel (110) includes a holder (13), a lens frame (15), and an elastic member (21). The holder includes a first guide axis (19) and a second guide axis (20). The lens frame includes a first guide section (50, 53) which is movably fitted around the first guide axis and a second guide section (51) which is movably fitted around the second guide axis, and retains at least one lens (17). The elastic member exerts an energizing force on the second guide section and is disposed between the holder and the second guide section. The lens frame moves along the optical axis direction of the lens as the first guide section is guided by the first guide axis. The elastic member energizes the lens frame along the optical axis direction of the lens by exerting an energizing force on the second guide section.

  • Patent number: 7605514
Abstract: In a rotating electric machine including a field pole unit having ten magnetic poles (P=10) and an armature having twelve teeth (Q=12), armature coils are wound around the successive teeth with phase relationships and winding polarities arranged in the order of U+/U+, U?/V+, V?/V?, W?/V+, W+/W+, W?/U+, U?/U?, U+/V?, V+/V+, W+/V?, W?/W? and W+/U?, where “U,” “V” and “W” represent three phases of the individual armature coils while “+” and “?” denote winding polarities. Among all harmonic components of magnetomotive forces produced by the armature coils, harmonic components of orders lower than a synchronized component can be reduced in this rotating electric machine. This structure decreases eddy currents flowing in the field pole unit, resulting lower eddy current loss in the field pole unit of the rotating electric machine.

  • Publication number: 20080200139
Abstract: A total gain candidate determining unit determines candidates suitable as a total gain Kt in an AGC feedback loop including an equalizer, an A/D converter, and an FIR filter. For each candidate for the total gain Kt, a gain setting unit sets a corresponding gain Kp in a preamplifier 10, and sequentially sets, in the A/D converter and the FIR filter, a gain Ka and a gain Kf which satisfy the total gain Kt. A written data storage unit stores known written data. An error rate calculating unit calculates an error rate of read data by comparing the read data and the written data. An second determining unit determines, as an optimal combination of gains, a combination of gains in which the error rate is the least.

  • Patent number: 7239454
Abstract: An image display apparatus includes a diaphragm (9b) arranged at a pupil position. The shape of an aperture of the diaphragm (9b) is similar to the shape of a light source image formed by an illuminating optical system at the pupil position. An area varying mechanism (90) varies the area of the aperture of the diaphragm (9b) in response to a focal length varying operation of a projection lens (9). This prevents an excessive opening from being formed around a light source image cast by the illuminating optical system, thereby preventing the deterioration of displayed images due to unwanted light that may pass through the excessive opening.
