  • Publication number: 20100121597
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to a switching device (4) and a measurement system (1). In the method according to the invention for determining time differences between measurement signals measured by at least two couple measurement devices (2, 3), a time basis signal is first generated for the measurement devices (2, 3). A common reference signal is further generated by a signal generator (5). The common reference signal is fed to measurement signal inputs (8, 9) of the coupled measuring devices (2, 3) via the switching device (4). A measurement signal is then fed to said measurement signal inputs (8, 9) of the coupled measuring devices (2, 3) and the time position of the measurement signals relative to the reference signal is determined in each of the coupled measuring devices (2, 3).

  • Patent number: 7694292
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for performing maintenance on a mission critical system while minimizing unavailability of the system to users. The system includes software storage having at least production and maintenance portions. Initially, the maintenance and production portions are set to be identical and the system is programmed to operate from the production portion. During maintenance operations, the system is taken off line and the maintenance is performed only on the maintenance portion, leaving the production portion unaltered. Until the maintenance is complete, if the system is required to be available, it may be brought back on-line and directed to continue to operate from the production portion. Once maintenance is complete, the maintenance portion is designated as the production portion and vice versa. The system is then directed to operate from the newly maintained production portion.

  • Patent number: 7291802
Abstract: A joining system head (22) is proposed for fixation to a movable frame (12), in particular to a robot (12), having a holding means (66) for an element (36) to be joined to a part (38), a joining drive means (64) to move the holding means (66) along a joining direction (40) for joining, and a feeding means (44) for feeding elements (36) to the joining system head (22). Here a control means (42) to control the joining drive means (64) is arranged at the joining system head (22) spatially distanced from the holding means (66) and the joining drive means (64), so that the holding means (66) and the joining drive means (64) form a joining tool (32) of small dimensions, and means (68) are provided to pass on the elements (36) fed to a transfer station (46) of the feeding means (44) in each instance to the holding means (66) from in front.

  • Patent number: 7131857
Abstract: An electrical plug includes a housing and a spring clamp to connect a flexible electric conductor to an end piece of a rigid holder. The clamp spring includes a contact leg and a clamp leg. The clamp leg is bent closed in a loop onto the contact leg end providing a clamp opening through which the contact leg end protrudes. The clamp leg and a clamp opening edge positioned opposite to the clamp leg form a clamp location in which the electric conductor passed through the clamp opening is clamped before mounting the plug on the holder. After mounting, the holder extends through the clamp opening displacing the contact leg from the electric conductor. The holder and clamp spring clamp the electric conductor and form an electrical connection between the holder and electric conductor.
