The file system is further configured to retrieve an access control list having permissions information associated with the storage item, and to cache a permissions profile for the user including all permissions pertaining to the user for the storage item. The method includes: a user device providing a plurality of user feedbacks, each of the plurality of user feedbacks is provided at a respective point in time and describes a thermal comfort of a user using the user device; at each point in time associated with the plurality of user feedbacks, each of a plurality of HVAC devices detecting running parameters; and for each of the plurality of user feedbacks: inputting the running parameters of each of the plurality of HVAC devices detected at the respective point in time into the comfort model to generate a predicted thermal comfort, determining a loss value by comparing the predicted thermal comfort with the thermal comfort described by the respective user feedback, and training the comfort model to reduce the loss value.

    Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for multi-destination probabilistic data replication. Data transfer occurs over multiple time intervals. A data image to be transferred is divided into chunks. A manifest is created that lists each chunk and specifies an order, such that the data image can be reconstructed at its destination. The manifest is sent to the destination. The chunks may be sent to the destination, or to an aggregator site that then forwards the chunks to the destination. The chunks are reassembled at the destination based on information in the manifest. A probabilistic function is used to select an aggregator site based on an efficacy. The efficacy is based on a reward function that is computed for destinations for each time interval. A data transfer policy is periodically updated with a new efficacy value which is used for adjustment of the probabilistic function.

    Abstract: Adaptive control of deadline-constrained workload migrations can include monitoring migrations of workloads forming a wave migrating from a source computing node to a target computing node. The monitoring can be performed in real time. The migrations can be performed by transferring image replications of each workload over a data communication network. Based on an expected bandwidth availability, a likelihood that a cutover deadline associated with the wave is exceeded prior to completing a migration of each of the wave's workloads can be predicted. Migration of one or more selected workloads can be suspended in response to determining that exceeding the cutover deadline prior to completing migration of each of the wave's workloads is likely.

In some embodiments, a categorization system may receive a first document file in a machine readable format. The categorization system may analyze a sequence of text from the first document file and identify a numeric text string in the sequence. The categorization system may also identify text data in the sequence matching text data from a second document file. The categorization system may remove the numeric text string and the matching data from the sequence to generate a trimmed version of the sequence. The categorization system may then apply a vectorization model to the trimmed version of the sequence as well as a trained deep learning model to the vector version to identify a corresponding category for the sequence of text.

The computing device may then assign the driver to the order, and determine a delivery status based on the assignment of the first driver to the first order. The delivery status may identify, for example, that the order has been assigned to the driver, an estimated delivery time, the number of items being delivered, the weight of the items, and a route taken by the driver. The computing device may also display the delivery status.

    Abstract: A method and related apparatus adaptively control snapshot replication of a plurality of server snapshots in a multi-tenant public cloud using snapshot service. A plurality of snapshot requests are received from a plurality of clients in the multi-tenant public cloud and are each associated with a service level agreement (SLA). The SLA includes a corresponding completion deadline and a slippage penalty. A probabilistic model calculates, for active snapshot flows, a completion time for each of the snapshot requests. If any of the predicted completion times exceed their corresponding completion deadlines, a possible MISS event is produced for an associated first snapshot. The snapshot controller component, in response to producing the possible MISS event, minimizes a probability of breaching fulfillment times for the multi-tenant cloud. The slippage penalty is calculated for each of the plurality of snapshot requests. A second snapshot is identified from among the plurality of snapshot requests.
