Abstract: Implementations of a system, method and apparatus described herein receive, for a configuration item in a configuration management database, status indicating an operational state and an automation state associated with the configuration item, and determine whether a conflict will occur with at least one of the operational state or the automation state of the configuration item as a result of a process affecting the configuration item. When the conflict will not occur, a change is made to at least one of the operational state or the automation state of the configuration item in accordance with the process. Upon a conclusion of the process, the change is removed. If the conflict will occur, the process not allowed to continue.

Abstract: Unknown potential commercials are detected in a video data stream that contains segments of program type content, and blocks of commercial content. Each block includes a plurality of successive individual commercials. A library of known commercials is maintained in a first database. A video data stream is received in a video processing engine which includes a search engine that is in communication with the first database. The search engine identifies all known commercials in the video data stream and their respective start and end times. The video processing engine identifies all time segments that are sandwiched between the known commercials. The video processing engine filters out as a potential commercial any identified time segments that are significantly longer than the time length of a commercial. The video processing engine designates content of each of the time segments that were not filtered out as being one or more unknown potential commercials.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for an Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) Virtual Private Wire Service (VPWS) network with service interface-aware forwarding. In one example, a first network device signals to a second network device, using EVPN route advertisements, a multi-service service tunnel to transport network packets for a plurality of services. The services are identifiable by virtual local area network (VLAN) identifiers in the packets. The first network device is configured with a single transport interface for the service tunnel and the single transport interface is configured with respective service interfaces for the services. The first network device detects failure of a failed service interface of the service interfaces and outputs, in response to the failure, an EVPN route withdrawal message for the service tunnel that identifies the service corresponding to the failed service interface.

Abstract: A computerized method of populating one or more structured databases includes performing, by a computing device, the steps of: receiving customer message data from one or more data sources; extracting, from the customer message data, data sets representative of a set of customer questions; pre-processing, the data sets representative of the set of customer questions using one or more filters, thereby producing pre-processed data sets representative of customer questions; extracting, from the pre-processed data sets representative of customer questions, a set of customer expression data sets; grouping, the customer expression data sets into a set of clusters, each cluster representing one customer intent data set, each customer intent data set corresponding to one or more customer expression data sets; and storing, the customer intent data sets and the customer expression data sets in the structured database(s), the structured database(s) in electronic communication with the computing device.

Abstract: A computerized method of assessing a chatbot conversation includes: extracting one or more messages from the conversation; determining, based on the one or more messages, an existing business opportunity value score using a business opportunity state detector module; determining, based on the one or more messages, an existing user experience score using a user experience state detector module of the computing device; determining, based on the one or more messages, a future business opportunity value score using a future business opportunity predictor module of the computing device; determining, based on the one or more messages, a future user experience score using the future user experience predictor module of the computing device; calculating a composite score indicating whether human intervention in the chatbot conversation is desirable; and generating a display signal including a status indicator, for review by a human agent, reflecting a desirability of human intervention in the chatbot conversation.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to generate a personalized video channel for a viewer. Selected parameters of the viewer's viewing behavior with respect to one or more media devices that are associated with the viewer are automatically monitored and detected during one or more sampling periods. Media content sources that are available to the viewer on the one or more media devices are automatically detected. A personalized video channel is then generated for the viewer using at least the monitoring parameters and the detected media content sources. During a viewing session on one of the media devices, the generated personalized video channel is displayed.

Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for determining the cause of a fault in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system are described herein. One device includes a memory, and a processor configured to execute executable instructions stored in the memory to receive operational data associated with an HVAC system, receive control logic associated with a controller of the HVAC system, determine a cause of a fault occurring in the HVAC system based, at least in part, on the operational data associated with the HVAC system and the control logic of the controller of the HVAC system, and provide the cause of the fault occurring in the HVAC system to a user.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided to create a media consumer-personalized database table of selectable actions related to media content of interest to a media consumer that is being displayed on a media device. The media content of interest is identified by the media consumer by recording an indication of the media content of interest via a signal received from a user input device when the media content of interest is being displayed or presented. The database table of selectable actions is then presented to the media consumer who can initiate one of the actions.

Abstract: The present disclosure extends to maintaining an item inventory status at an inventory cache management system. The inventory cache may be refreshed regularly by a threshold-based triggering mechanism. In embodiments, as item inventory breaches certain thresholds, the inventory cache may be refreshed with increased frequency to mitigate overselling or underselling scenarios and reduce overall network traffic for items having relatively high inventory levels.

Abstract: Techniques for presenting a content item with a media item are described. The techniques include receiving user input indicating a placement preference for a content item to be presented with a media item. The placement preference indicates a presentation preference of the content item relative to presentation of the media item. The placement preference is used to influence selection of a media item with which the content item is to be presented.

Abstract: A system may include a database disposed within a remote network management platform, a server device disposed in the platform, and a client device. The database may contain representations of configuration items, such as computing devices and software applications associated with the managed network. The server device may provide a graphical user interface including a sequence of panes to the client device. The sequence of panes may include an identifier pane, an identification rules pane, and a reconciliation pane. Each pane may include data entry fields that are operable to define a new class of configuration item. The server device may receive, by way of the graphical user interface, a definition of the new class that uniquely identifies configuration items of a particular type using at least the attributes. The server may store, in the database, the definition of the new class.

Abstract: Techniques for automating the generation and analysis of fundus drawings are described. Captured images undergo image processing to extract information about image features. Fundus images are generated and recommended labels for the fundus drawing are generated. Fundus drawings can be analyzed and undergo textual processing to extract existing labels. Machine learning models and co-occurrence analysis can be applied to collections of fundus images and drawings to gather information about commonly associated labels, label locations, and user information. The most frequently used labels associated with the image can be identified to improve recommendations and personalize labels.

Abstract: A system and method for application security profiling that includes extracting a code property graph from at least a subset of a code base; generating a code profile from the code property graph, wherein generating the code profile occurs prior to a compilation of the code base; and applying the code profile, comprising of identifying sections of interest within the code base.

Abstract: A content recommendation system that recommends content based on previous user content information and information regarding the user and user device. The system is capable of accurately recommending content using collaborative filtering by comparing the user's profile to other user profiles. User profiles rely on implicit ratings to determine user preferences. Implicit ratings may be determined by collecting the content that a user consumed, in addition to user and user device information. The system recommends content that similar users have consumed. The system is also able to identify and recommend trending content by analyzing changes in metrics over time. The system may also rely on automatic content recognition to identify content that the user is consuming without requiring active user input.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for selectively replacing commercials that are in a video data stream with alternative commercials. Automatic content recognition (ACR) is performed on the video data stream to detect the identity of each of the commercials played in a commercial block during a commercial break. Commercials in the video data stream which are detected as being displayed on a video display device are stored in a first database, and commercials in the video data stream which are detected as not being displayed on the video display device are stored in a second database. A rules engine defines how commercials in the video data stream should be replaced with other commercials. Commercials in the video data stream that were previously detected as being displayed on the video display device are selectively replaced with commercials that were previously detected as not being displayed on the video display device.

Abstract: A method, computer-readable storage device and apparatus for calculating a health quality measure are disclosed. For example, a method receives characteristics of motion information, wherein the characteristics of motion information is based upon gait information, monitors the characteristics of motion information over a time period to determine a plurality of different modes of motion within the time period, and calculates the health quality measure based upon the plurality of different modes of motion.

Abstract: Various aspects of a system and method to provide driving assistance to safely overtake a vehicle are disclosed herein. In accordance with an embodiment, an electronic control unit used in a first vehicle is configured to detect a second vehicle in front of the first vehicle. A first position associated with the first vehicle and a second position associated with the detected second vehicle is determined for a first time instance. It may be determined whether a lateral distance between the determined first position and the determined second position is below a pre-defined threshold distance. A first alert is generated when the determined lateral distance is below the pre-defined threshold distance.

Abstract: Systems and methods for the identification and reconciliation of network resource information are herein disclosed. In an implementation, a system includes instructions stored in memory for processing a request received from a data source to update a record of a network resource by receiving data relating to an attribute of a network resource of a computer network from a first data source, wherein the network resource is associated with a configuration item of a configuration management database, the configuration item including data relating to the attribute from a second source; determining that the first data source is authoritative for the attribute based on a priority of the first data source, a priority of the second data source, and a staleness period of the second data source; and processing the request by updating the attribute based on the data.
