  • Patent number: 9286045
Abstract: A method for providing applications to one or more requesting devices is provided. The method comprises a step of first receiving an application request from the one or more requesting devices. The method includes extracting details of the request. Further markup language structure for corresponding page of the application is generated. The markup language structure is generated based by invoking page handlers which includes contacting business logic layer to get information required to be embedded in the corresponding page. The output page is then provided to the requesting device.

  • Patent number: 9237105
Abstract: Described is a technology by which a relay is coupled (e.g., by a wire) to a network and (e.g., by a wireless link) to an endpoint. Incoming data packets directed towards the endpoint are processed by the relay according to an error correction scheme, such as one that replicates packets. The reprocessed packets, which in general are more robust against packet loss, are then sent to the endpoint. For outgoing data packets received from the endpoint, the relay reprocesses the outgoing packets based upon the error correction scheme, such as to remove redundant packets before transmitting them to the network over the wire. Also described are various error correction schemes, and various types of computing devices that may be used as relays. The relay may be built into the network infrastructure, and/or a directory service may be employed to automatically find a suitable relay node for an endpoint device.

  • Patent number: 9206155
Abstract: Chiral 1-(4-methylphenylmethyl)-5-oxo-{N-[(3-t-butoxycarbonyl-aminomethyl)]-piperidin-1-yl}-pyrrolidine-2-carboxamides as inhibitors of collagen induced platelet activation and adhesion The present invention provides chiral (2S)-1-(4-methyl-phenylmethyl)-5-oxo-(3S)—{N-[(3-t-butoxycarbonyl aminomethyl)]-piperidin-1-yl}-pyrrolidine-2-carboxamide, and (2S)-1-(4-methylphenylmethyl)-5-oxo-(3R)—{N-[(3-t-butoxycarbonyl amino methyl)]-piperidin-1-yl}-pyrrolidine-2-carboxamide of formula 6 and 7 respectively. The present invention also relates to use of these moieties as inhibitors of collagen induced platelet adhesion and aggregation mediated through collagen receptors. The present invention provides a process for preparation of chiral carboxamides of formula 6 and 7 using the process which has advantage to avoid any racemization at the a-carboxylic center, during N-alkylation. The reagent LiHMDS is used at low temperatures to furnish methyl N-(p methylphenylmethyl)lpyroglutamate in good chiral purity.

  • Publication number: 20150152602
Abstract: The invention generally relates to a security sheet or document having one or more enhanced watermarks. In one exemplary embodiment, the inventive security sheet or document is a single-ply paper that is made up of a paper layer including one or more watermarks, and a micro-optic security device (e.g., a patch or thread) that at least partially covers an upper or face portion of the watermark(s). The overlying patch or thread increases the durability of the watermark(s), thereby allowing for the watermark(s) as well as reduced fiber density areas therein to be made larger, and further allowing for the reduced fiber density areas to be made thinner. In a preferred embodiment, the micro-optic security device projects one or more synthetic images that coordinate or link in with the watermark design(s). In a more preferred embodiment, the micro-optic security device offers a machine detectable/readable feature in the form of enhanced IR-brightness, especially when measured in transmission.

  • Patent number: 8982709
Abstract: Service nodes in a service overlay network are selected to provide a service path for a requested service by determining a reduced search space of service nodes in the service overlay network that are operable to provide service components for the requested service. From the reduced search space of service nodes, service nodes are selected to form a service path that satisfies all quality of service constraints for the service.

  • Patent number: 8761322
Abstract: The present disclosure presents methods and apparatuses for enhanced received signal processing using signal-based channel impulse response (CIR) estimation. For example, according to an example method presented herein, a user equipment (UE) or a component therein may receive a signal corresponding to a transmitted signal sent by a network entity, wherein the transmitted signal comprises at least a data channel, estimate chip contents of the transmitted signal, based on the received signal including the data channel, to obtain estimated chip contents, and compute an estimated channel impulse response (CIR) based on at least the estimated chip contents. Based on this estimated CIR, the UE may thereafter reprogram a received signal reconstruction filter, perform interference cancellation procedures, and/or adjust one or more equalizer taps. By performing such functions, the UE may exhibit improved communication characteristics and enable a more robust user experience.

  • Publication number: 20140056136
Abstract: A technique that addresses the problem of a TCP connection's throughput being very vulnerable to early losses implements a pair of controls around ssthresh. A first control is a loss forgiveness mechanism that applies to the first n-loss events by the TCP connection. Generally, this mechanism prevents new TCP connections from ending slow-start and becoming conservative on window growth too early (which would otherwise occur due to the early losses). The second control is a self-decay mechanism that is applied beyond the first n-losses that are handled by the first control. This mechanism decouples of ssthresh drop from cwnd and is thus useful in arresting otherwise steep ssthresh drops. The self-decay mechanism also enables TCP to enter/continue to be slow-start even after fast-recovery from a loss event.
