  • Publication number: 20180236073
Abstract: Described here are methods and compositions for treating tumors and metastases that improve anti-angiogenesis therapy. By inhibiting these mechanisms in a biological system with an anti-beta one integrin composition in combination with an antiangiogenic composition, tumors and metastases may be deprived of an adequate blood supply, thereby resulting in tumor cell growth arrest and possibly regression, including tumor cell death. The present compositions comprise an anti-beta one integrin agent in combination with an anti-VEGF agent, in a pharmaceutical composition or compositions. Methods of treatment and of imaging are also described.

  • Patent number: 9998428
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device in a network maintains first and second routing tables associated with a virtual private network (VPN) tunnel. The first and second routing tables comprise routing information used to route packets external to a particular routing domain. The device routes a first packet in the network via the VPN tunnel and a second tunnel that encapsulates the VPN tunnel, using the routing information in the first routing table. The device receives a second packet via the VPN tunnel that was routed to the device using the routing information in the second routing table and bypasses the second tunnel.

  • Publication number: 20180117909
Abstract: The present invention contains a printing apparatus and a method, e.g., for ejecting inks (i.e., pure liquids, mixtures, colloids, etc.) for a very broad range of physical properties (such as viscosity). Acoustic forces 3a may be generated by an emitter 1 and a reflector 2 to detach droplets 10 from a nozzle 6. The ink may be advanced through the nozzle 6 by a standard back pressure system 5. A reflectorless chamber 7 may enhance acoustic forces 8a and the droplets 10 may be ejected at a bottom 9 of said chamber 7, so that droplets 10 may be deposited on any substrate 11.

  • Patent number: 9934853
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for performing a read operation of an RRAM cell, which applies a non-zero bias voltage to unselected bit-lines and select-lines to increase a read current window without damaging corresponding access transistors. In some embodiments, the method may be performed by activating a word-line coupled to a row of RRAM cells comprising a selected RRAM device by applying a first read voltage to the word-line. A second read voltage is applied to a bit-line coupled to a first electrode of the selected RRAM device. One or more non-zero bias voltages are applied to bit-lines and select-lines coupled to RRAM cells, within the row of RRAM cells, having unselected RRAM devices.

  • Publication number: 20180061402
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for escalating voice-based interactions via speech-controlled devices are described. Speech-controlled devices capture audio, including wakeword portions and payload portions, for sending to a server to relay messages between speech-controlled devices. In response to determining the occurrence of an escalation event, such as repeated messages between the same two devices, the system may automatically change a mode of a speech-controlled device, such as no longer requiring a wakeword, no longer requiring an indication of a desired recipient, or automatically connecting two speech-controlled devices in a voice-chat mode. In response to determining the occurrence of further escalation events, the system may initiate a real-time call between the speech-controlled devices.

  • Publication number: 20180061404
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for outputting indications regarding voice-based interactions are described. A first speech-controlled device detects spoken audio corresponding to recipient information. The first device captures the audio and sends audio data corresponding to the captured audio to a server. The server determines a second speech-controlled device of the recipient and sends a signal to the recipient's second speech-controlled device representing a message is forthcoming. The recipient's second speech-controlled device outputs and indication representing a message is forthcoming.

  • Publication number: 20180061403
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for outputting visual indications regarding voice-based interactions are described. A first speech-controlled device detects spoken audio corresponding to a voice message to a second speech-controlled device. The first device captures the audio and sends audio data corresponding to the captured audio to a server. The server performs speech processing on the audio data to determine a recipient and message content. The server then determines a second speech-controlled device associated with the recipient and sends the message content to the recipient's second speech-controlled device. Thereafter, the server receives an indication from the recipient's speech-controlled device that the second device is detecting speech, presumably in response to the original message. The server then causes a visual indication to be output by the first speech-controlled device, with the visual indication representing the recipient-speech controlled device is detecting speech.

  • Publication number: 20180052746
Abstract: An approach is provided in which a system selects a first processor as a master Time of Day (TOD) processor in a first TOD topology in response to determining that the first processor is directed connected to an oscillator. The system then assigns a second processor as an alternate master TOD processor to a second TOD topology based upon determining that the second processor is on a different node than the first processor. The system configures to the first TOD topology and, when the system detects a TOD failure, the system re-configures to the second TOD topology.
