  • Patent number: 11449596
Abstract: Cloud storage systems and methods provide event-based user state synchronization among the various cloud elements. A global user directory is maintained on a remote cloud storage system. The global user directory includes a plurality of global user definitions associated with a plurality of user accounts, where each of the user accounts has access to one of a remote file system (RFS) hosted by the remote cloud storage system and a local file system (LFS) hosted by a local cloud storage system. As global user definition are altered on the remote cloud storage system, user events are generated and communicated to the local cloud storage system, where they are applied to synchronize the local user definitions with the global user definitions. The invention facilitates centralized control of user definitions, near real-time event delivery to local cloud storage systems, and separation of authentication processes from customers' active directory services.

  • Patent number: 11448057
Abstract: Multiple projected rate of penetration (ROP) values can be determined for purposes of adjusting well tools and well characteristics. For example, surface data can be determined based on a surface sensor signal. Downhole data can be determined based on a downhole sensor signal. A first value indicating a first projected ROP of a drill bit can be determined by providing the surface data as input to a first machine-learning model. A second value indicating a second projected ROP of the drill bit can be determined by providing the downhole data as input to a second machine-learning model. A third value indicating a third projected ROP of the drill bit can be determined by providing the first value and the second value input to a third machine-learning model. An operating characteristic of a well tool can be adjusted based on the third value.

  • Patent number: 11442849
Abstract: Mobile devices executing applications utilize data services worldwide, with issues involving the transfer of data on the network impacting the operation and user experience of those applications. Network data is acquired from a mobile computing device during communication and processed to determine occurrence of a burst which is representative of elements in the network data that are determined to be causally related. Bursts are analyzed, and those associated with poor performance are presented in a user interface. The user interface provides impact information about the effect the burst had on operation of the application. The user interface may provide suggestions to mitigate the poor performance. If no problem is determined by the system, but the user believes a problem to have occurred, user input is collected and used to trigger a workflow to analyze the burst. Subsequent results of this analysis are returned to the user via the user interface.

  • Patent number: 11442933
Abstract: An approach for implementing function semantic based partition-wise SQL execution and partition pruning in a data processing system is provided. The system receives a query directed to a range-partitioned table and determines if operation key(s) of the query include(s) function(s) over the table partitioning key(s). If so, the system obtains a set of values corresponding to each partition by evaluating the function(s) on a low bound and/or a high bound table partitioning key value corresponding to the partition. The system may then compare the sets of values corresponding to different partitions and determine whether to aggregate results obtained by executing the query over the partitions based on the comparison. The system may also determine whether to prune any partitions from processing based on a set of correlations between the set of values for each partition and predicate(s) of the query including function(s) over the table partitioning key(s).
