  • Patent number: 9662657
Abstract: A multi-purpose food grinding machine having an open topped cylindrical vessel that is rotated by a gear reduced motor. The motor is located within a hollow housing. A keyed motor shaft engages a mating aperture in the bottom of the cylinder. A frame holds the housing in place under the vessel. A central shaft is held by the frame and extends downward into the vessel. Rotatable grinding members are attached to the bottom of the shaft so that as the vessel is rotated by the gear motor, the grinding members rotate at the bottom of the vessel causing any food items trapped between the grinding members and the floor of the vessel to be crushed. The grinding members are forced downward by a spring biased mechanism. A spring biased inside wall scraper forces food to drop back down into the vessel.

  • Publication number: 20050095221
Abstract: The present invention comprises novel preparations of polyoxypropylene/polyoxyethylene octablock copolymers which retain the growth-promoting and immunity-enhancing activity of commercially-available preparations, but are free from the undesirable effects which are inherent in the prior art preparations. Because the polyoxypropylene/polyoxyethylene copolymers which comprise the present invention have a more homogenous population of molecules with fewer low molecular weight species than prior art preparations, the biological activity of the copolymer is better defined and more predictable. Moreover, the polyoxypropylene/polyoxyethylene copolymer of the present invention substantially reduces any risk to human health through the consumption of food animals since the copolymer hereof is not absorbed into the animal's edible tissue. Methods for preparation of the polyoxypropylene/polyoxyethylene copolymer of the present invention are also provided.

  • Patent number: 5824322
Abstract: The present invention includes compositions and methods using biologically active nonionic reverse block copolymers. The reverse copolymers have an inner core of polyoxypropylene (POP) that is flanked on either end by polyoxyethylene (POE). The reverse block copolymers have the following formula: ##STR1## wherein "b" represents a number such that the molecular weight of the hydrophobe (C.sub.3 H.sub.6 O).sub.b is between approximately 2,000 and 10,000, and "a" represents a number such that the percentage of hydrophile (C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O).sub.a is between approximately 5% and 30%. The reverse block copolymers stimulate the immune response, can suppress immune responses such as those in autoimmune diseases, promote the growth of animals, and stimulate hormone production.
