  • Patent number: 12615427
Abstract: Disclosed herein are viewing systems configured for viewing an image of a biological object illuminated with light and a viewing device (e.g., loupes, glasses, etc.) and methods for operation thereof. The viewing device comprises a plurality of viewing modes: a white light mode, a fluorescent light mode, and an overlay mode, and a shutter that opens and closes in accordance with the viewing mode. An overlay image is an image of the biological object when the biological object is illuminated with both white light and fluorescent light, causing the overlay image to be an overlay of the white light image and the fluorescent light image. The disclosed systems and methods allow a user (e.g., a surgeon, medical staff, etc.) to preserve the ergonomics offered by eyewear while providing fluorescent viewing capabilities, particularly with visible fluorescent dyes.

  • Publication number: 20260053367
Abstract: Techniques for fluorescence imaging are provided. A tissue region comprising a target fluorophore is illuminated with an excitation light in a wavelength range of 380-490 nm. First image data of the tissue is captured at an image sensor, wherein the first image comprises an autofluorescence contribution from the tissue and a fluorescence emission contribution from the target fluorophore, wherein the first image data comprises red channel data and green channel data. A corrected fluorescence image is generated, based on the first image data, wherein generating the fluorescence image comprises subtracting a second component based on one of the green channel data or the red channel data from a first component based on the other of the green channel data or the red channel data.
