  • Patent number: 12244590
Abstract: A method for authorizing access to one or more secured computer resources includes obfuscating a reference biometric vector into an obfuscated reference biometric vector using a similarity-preserving obfuscation. An authentication biometric vector is obfuscated into an obfuscated authentication biometric vector using the similarity-preserving obfuscation. A similarity of the obfuscated authentication biometric vector and the obfuscated reference biometric vector is tested. Based on the similarity being within an authentication threshold, access to the one or more secured computer resources is authorized.

  • Publication number: 20250069341
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to techniques for inserting imagery from a real environment into a virtual environment. While presenting (e.g., displaying) the virtual environment at an electronic device, a proximity of the electronic device to a physical object located in a real environment is detected. In response to detecting that the proximity of the electronic device to the physical object is less than a first threshold distance, imagery of the physical object is isolated from other imagery of the real environment. The isolated imagery of the physical object is inserted into the virtual environment at a location corresponding to the location of the physical object in the real environment. The imagery of the physical object has a first visibility value associated with the proximity of the electronic device to the physical object.

  • Patent number: 12209880
Abstract: Techniques for enabling a library of local maps to remain de-coupled from a global map are disclosed. An MR system is determined to be located on a platform that is currently moving or that has an ability to readily move. That platform's type is determined. Based on the determined type for the platform, a 3D boundary that approximates a shape for the platform's type is generated. The 3D boundary is imposed on the platform. Scanning data for the platform is acquired. The bounds for that scanning data is at least initially limited to that of the 3D boundary. The scanning data is used to build or supplement a library of local maps. The library is representative of the platform. That library is prevented from being coupled to a global map.

  • Patent number: 12194272
Abstract: A delivery device for intravenous delivery of microparticles to a patient. The delivery device is fluidly connectable to (i) a first source of an injection medium and (ii) a second source of an injection medium. The delivery device includes: a first fluid inlet fluidly connectable to the first source of the injection medium, a fluid outlet, a fluid mixer fluidly connecting the first fluid inlet to the fluid outlet, a second fluid inlet fluidly connectable to the second source of the injection medium, and a source of microparticles fluidly connecting the second fluid inlet to the fluid mixer. When fluid flows from the second source of the injection medium into the delivery device: the second injection medium fluidly drives microparticles from the source of microparticles into the fluid mixer, and the fluid outlet dispenses to the patient an injection medium that includes the microparticles.

  • Patent number: 12179087
Abstract: A boot form for a hockey skate is made of multiple plastic materials having different hardness properties, or different flexural moduli, and is formed via an injection-molding process or another similar process. One or more of the plastic materials may be reinforced with fibers of glass, carbon, aramid, or another stiffening material to strengthen one or more regions of the boot form. For example, pellets of a first plastic material having a flexural modulus of approximately 190 MPa (e.g., a polyamide elastomer block amide) may be injected into a mold to form a softer upper region of the boot form. And pellets of a second plastic having a flexural modulus of approximately 20,000 MPa (e.g., a Nylon 12 with long glass fibers) may be injected into the mold to form a stiffer lower region of the boot form. Additional skate components may then be attached to the boot form.
