  • Patent number: 12044547
Abstract: In one embodiment, a technique for providing absolute orientation of a mobile device involves aligning the orientation sensor of the mobile device with the Earth's coordinate system. An initial orientation from the orientation sensor of the mobile device is accessed, a user is prompted to move the mobile device in a direction of the initial orientation, and using a position sensor, a set of position information that describes positions of the mobile device is captured while the mobile device is being moved in the direction. Based on the set of position information, a vector of movement is determined. Using the vector of movement, an orientation difference is calculated between the Earth's coordinate system and a coordinate system of the mobile device. Upon demand, an absolute orientation of the mobile device may be produced by accessing a live orientation from the orientation sensor and adding the orientation difference.

  • Publication number: 20240219197
Abstract: Techniques for enabling a library of local maps to remain de-coupled from a global map are disclosed. An MR system is determined to be located on a platform that is currently moving or that has an ability to readily move. That platform's type is determined. Based on the determined type for the platform, a 3D boundary that approximates a shape for the platform's type is generated. The 3D boundary is imposed on the platform. Scanning data for the platform is acquired. The bounds for that scanning data is at least initially limited to that of the 3D boundary. The scanning data is used to build or supplement a library of local maps. The library is representative of the platform. That library is prevented from being coupled to a global map.

  • Patent number: 12017691
Abstract: In example embodiments, techniques are provided for using machine learning to predict railroad track geometry exceedances to enable proactive maintenance. A machine learning model of a rail operational analytics application may be trained to directly output a probability of future railroad track geometry exceedances for each portion of track of a railroad. Training may be performed using all available railroad track data, and the task of selecting which data is relevant to predicting probability of railroad track geometry exceedances may be devolved to the machine learning model. Further, assumptions about the specific railroad and data characteristics may be avoided, providing the machine learning model flexibility, and allowing for dynamic changes in the problem formulation.

  • Publication number: 20240197896
Abstract: Bioconjugates for mediating cytosolic/nuclear and/or intracellular delivery of a membrane impermeable cargo are described herein. The bioconjugates comprise one or more synthetic peptide shuttle agents conjugated in a cleavable or non-cleavable fashion to a linear or multi-armed biocompatible non-anionic hydrophilic polymer, which may optionally be further covalently linked to a cargo. Bioconjugation generally allows for usage at a higher shuttle agent or shuttle agent monomer concentration, usage at a broader effective concentration window, and/or improved performance for in vivo administrations (e.g., to target organs or tissues contacting or proximal to bodily fluids and/or secretions), as compared to a corresponding unconjugated shuttle agent.
