  • Patent number: 10631726
Abstract: In a corneal measurement system, an optical element focuses an excitation light to an area of corneal tissue at a selected depth. In response, a fluorescing agent applied to the cornea generates a fluorescence emission. An aperture of a pinhole structure selectively transmits the fluorescence emission from the area of corneal tissue at the selected depth. A detector captures the selected fluorescence emission transmitted by the aperture and communicates information relating to a measurement of the selected fluorescence emission captured by the detector. A controller receives the information from the detector and determines a measurement of the fluorescing agent in the area of corneal tissue at the selected depth. The system may include a scan mechanism that causes the optical element to scan the cornea at a plurality of depths, and the controller may determine a measurement of the fluorescing agent in the cornea as a function of depth.

  • Publication number: 20200066410
Abstract: A method, system and related computer program product for tracking the probability of hypoglycemia from routine self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) data in patients with diabetes. A specific bivariate probability distribution of low BG events based jointly on the Low BG Index (LBGI) and the Average Daily Risk Range (ADRR) is used to predict hypoglycemia probability of occurrence from inputted SMBG data. The SMBG data is retrieved from a series of SMBG data of a patient available from the patient's glucose meter and allows tracking of the probability for future hypoglycemia over a predetermined duration, e.g. a 24 or 48 hour period. The tracking includes presentation of visual and/or numerical output, as well as construction of hypoglycemia risk trajectories that would enable warning messages for crossing of predefined thresholds, such as 50% likelihood for upcoming hypoglycemia below 50 mg/dl.

  • Patent number: 10555623
Abstract: A tray for dispensing product containers, particularly yogurt containers, which vary widely in size and shape and frequently are stacked several high. The tray is of adjustable width and of extruded construction. The tray comprises two main components, one forming a bottom part and a high wall, the other forming a bottom part and a low wall. The high wall has a flanged track running lengthwise and the low wall has a T-shaped rail for reception in the flanged track of an adjacent tray. An array of trays are thus connected such that the high wall of one tray serves as a second high wall for an adjacent connected tray while allowing a tray to be pulled forward, supported by its neighbors, for restocking. A pusher and pull strip are provided in which an L-shaped pusher can be reversely oriented and thereby optimized for round or rectangular containers.
