  • Publication number: 20230268741
Abstract: A method of detecting an islanding operation of an electrical power generating system coupled to a power grid provided. The method includes monitoring a frequency that is indicative of an AC frequency on the power grid and monitoring reactive power on a coupling of the electrical power generating system to the power grid. The monitored frequency is processed to determine a rate of change of frequency, and the monitored reactive power is processed to determine a rate of change of reactive power. A detection parameter is determined from the determined rate of change of frequency and the determined rate of change of reactive power. An islanding operation of the electrical power generating system is detected if the detection parameter exceeds an islanding threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20230264529
Abstract: An improved hitch ball mount includes a draw bar shank having vibration-isolating member disposed over a portion of an outer surface of a draw bar rod. The vibration-isolating member comprises a vibration-absorbing material, and the draw bar shank is sized to fit closely within a receiver tube of a receiver hitch assembly so that the vibration-isolating member contacts the interior of the receiver tube when the draw bar is positioned within the receiver tube. The vibration-absorbing material can comprise a layer of composite or rubberized material. The vibration-isolating member can be a removable sleeve that can be slidingly positioned over the draw bar rod or it can be a layer of vibration-absorbing material molded over a portion of the draw bar rod. • Patent number: 11707583
Abstract: A sensing module for monitoring dosage delivery of a vaporized material, and a portable vaporization unit including the sensing module, include a light sensor that detects disruptions in a light path across a vapor channel, the disruptions caused by the vaporized material flowing through the vapor channel. The light sensor includes a UV light source, which may emit 370 nm wavelength light, and a UV light detector that converts intensity of incident light in the light path into a signal. A microprocessor of the sensing module compares the signal to a baseline measurement to determine the concentration of a medicament in the vapor; then, using the flow rate and activation time of the device, the microprocessor determines the dosage and can perform monitoring and reporting actions based on the dosage. A measuring circuit measures fluctuations in resistance/impedance of a vaporization element to further determine flow rate and/or dosage.

  • Publication number: 20230168157
Abstract: The present invention addresses to a system and methodology for evaluating the deposition in tubes of the furnaces of delayed coking unit (DCU) in order to reduce the costs involved with premature shutdowns. With this system, load rankings are obtained, influences of certain loads on processing are evaluated, and additives that reduce deposition are further evaluated. Consequently, the results obtained by such a system allow greater flexibility for the follow-up engineer to optimize his delayed coking unit in order to increase load or increase the unit campaign time, drastically reducing costs in premature shutdowns, or increasing its return by increasing load and shutdowns, since the load is limited by the degree of deposit formation, and that directly affects the wall temperature.

  • Patent number: 11554622
Abstract: A tow hitch assembly includes a draw bar and a hitch ball mount pivotally supported by the draw bar. A compression spring is disposed longitudinally between the draw bar and the hitch ball mount. The compression spring exerts a force that opposes a downward pivoting motion of the hitch ball mount when weight is placed on the hitch ball mount. The compression spring cooperates with an indicator configured to indicate to a user whether the weight placed on the hitch ball mount is within a predetermined weight range. The compression spring is removable and replaceable with a second compression spring that has a different spring constant. The second compression spring cooperates with the indicator to indicate to a user whether the weight placed on the hitch ball mount is within a second, different predetermined weight range.

  • Publication number: 20220041025
Abstract: A coupler lock device is configured for use with a self-latching trailer coupler securing a hitch ball in the coupler socket. The coupler lock device has a housing that includes a top panel portion defining a cavity configured so that, when the housing is secured in position over the trailer coupler, the housing top panel prevents seating of the hitch ball in the coupler socket by restricting upward movement of the release lever when an attempt is made to insert the hitch ball into the coupler socket. Also, when the housing is secured in position over the trailer coupler with a hitch ball seated in the coupler socket, the housing top panel prevents removal of the coupler socket from the hitch ball by restricting upward movement of the release lever that would otherwise release the coupler socket from the hitch ball.
