    Abstract: A modular mask system comprises a frame for fitting over a user's head, and a set of interchangeable mask components. Each interchangeable mask components can be removeably attachable to the frame. Each of the interchangeable mask components is one of a top panel, a side panel assembly, an eyepiece and a nosepiece. The interchangeable side panel assemblies can be different sizes to accommodate the user's face or have different patterns or have different configurations of ventilation holes. The interchangeable eyepieces allow the user to choose from dual lenses and a single shield. The eyepieces can include optically powered lenses, shaded lenses, dual lenses tinted lenses, photochromatic lenses and polarized lenses.

    Abstract: There is provided a table for positioning a patient for a medical procedure on a breast, the table comprising: a solid frame surrounding a perimeter of the table; and a membrane-like contour surface for a surrounding breast area, wherein the surface comprises an aperture for the breast to be pendantly suspended therethrough, and the surface is adjusted to a shape of the patient's body. Preferably, the membrane-like contour surface covers the entire surface area of the table. Alternatively, it can be limited to a section that will cover an area from approximately the bottom of the rib cage to the collar bone when the patient is lying face down on the table.

    Abstract: An apparatus for optical imaging of a breast is described, the apparatus comprising: a supporting platform for positioning a patient in a face down prone position, the platform having a cavity for the breast to be pendantly suspended therethrough; a flexible fluid-filled receptacle below the cavity holding an optical matching fluid for the optical imaging, wherein the breast is immersed in the fluid during the optical imaging; a supporting mechanism surrounding a perimeter of the receptacle for supporting the receptacle within the cavity and preventing it from falling through the cavity when holding the optical matching fluid; and a source and detector coupling device for orienting source and detector ports with respect to the receptacle and for contacting the receptacle to obtain a desired geometry of the breast and the optical matching fluid.

    Abstract: The disclosure herein describes a visor attachment for use in combination with a conventional safty helmet wherein the visor is pivotally mounted at the back of the helmet; when used, such helmet is thus worn front-to-back. The attachment body has two side extensions which are adapted to fit into rim slots usually provided in opposite sides of a conventional helmet. These extensions each include a manually releasable connecting member which engages the slot, allowing the visor attachment to be easily removed from the helmet.
