  • Publication number: 20230252195
Abstract: Methods and systems for securing data processing systems are disclosed. A data processing system may be operably connected to other devices via ports. When operably connected, some devices connected via the ports may cause undesired actions to be performed. To limit physical access to the ports, a security apparatus may be used to lock the ports. The security apparatus may transition between states where it may be inserted into openings for the ports and may be locked to the openings for the ports. When so locked, physical access to the ports may be limited.

  • Patent number: 11701354
Abstract: Cellular biological activities are tightly controlled by intracellular signaling processes initiated by extracellular signals. Protein tyrosine phosphatases, which remove phosphate groups from tyrosine phosphorylated signaling molecules, play equally important tyrosine roles as protein kinases in signal transduction. SHP-2, a cytoplasmic SH2 domain containing protein tyrosine phosphatase, is involved in the signaling pathways of a variety of growth factors and cytokines. Recent studies have clearly demonstrated that this phosphatase plays an important role in transducing signal relay from the cell surface to the nucleus, and is a critical intracellular regulator in mediating cell proliferation and differentiation.

  • Patent number: 11701486
Abstract: An interface for positive pressure respiratory therapy includes a mask assembly having a mask seal and a mask shell. The mask assembly is positioned lower than and exposes a bridge of the user's nose. The mask seal includes first and second portions on respective first and second sides of a nasal region that contact opposing sides of the user's nose. The first and second portions each include supports that help maintain a shape of the mask seal. A pair of covers can be supported relative to the mask assembly and adjacent a respective one of the first and second portions of the mask seal. The covers limit expansion of the first and second portions of the mask seal in response to pressurized air within the mask seal. The supports of the first and second portions can transfer load from the mask seal to the covers.

  • Publication number: 20230205295
Abstract: An example non-transitory computer-readable medium includes instructions to monitor a time-averaged power consumption of a computing device that includes a plurality of power-consuming components including a processor, and compare the time-averaged power consumption to a first threshold to detect if the time-averaged power consumption exceeds the first threshold. In response to detecting that the time-averaged power consumption of the computing device exceeds the first threshold, the instructions are to decrease an operational power of the processor from a normal operating power, and start monitoring an instantaneous power consumption of the computing device to determine whether to make a further decrease or an increase to the operational power of the processor.

  • Patent number: 11685426
Abstract: An apparatus for use in turning steerable vehicle wheels includes a rotatable output shaft. A first rotational input assembly is provided for transmitting a steering command from a steering control member to the output shaft. A power transmitting mechanism is configured to transmit the rotational force from the input assembly to the output shaft. The power transmitting mechanism includes a plurality of sector gears. A ball screw has longitudinally separated first and second ball screw ends. A ball nut has a plurality of rack gears. Rotational force from the input assembly turns the ball screw, and the ball nut reciprocates within the housing responsive to rotation of the ball screw to move each of the plurality of rack gears in a longitudinal direction. Longitudinal motion of the rack gear teeth responsively drives the sector gear teeth to transmit the steering command to the output shaft.
