Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for a user to use a trusted device to provide sensitive information to an identity provider via QR (Quick Response) code for the identity provider to broker a website login or to collect information for the website. A user may securely transact with the website from unsecured devices by entering sensitive information into the trusted device. The identity provider may generate the QR code for display by the website on an unsecured device. A user running an application from the identity provider on the trusted device may scan the QR code to transmit the QR code to the identity provider. The identity provider may validate the QR code and may receive credential information to authenticate the user or may collect information for the website. Advantageously, the user may perform a safe login to the website from untrusted devices using the trusted device.

  • Patent number: 11809850
Abstract: This disclosure relates to building and finalizing an operating system (OS) image package in a way that allows for flexibility and customization of OS images while preventing certain runtime modifications after deployment of the OS image package on one or more target devices (e.g., embedded devices). For example, the systems described herein can build an OS image package based on information from an OS manifest that provides a declarative summary of a target OS. The systems described herein can further finalize the OS image package by performing one or more actions on the OS image package that prevent an end-user from performing various runtime modifications to the target OS after deployment of the OS image package. This finalization process provides an improved pipeline for implementing OS updates while providing safeguards against a variety of security risks associated with deploying OS image packages on a large scale.

  • Publication number: 20230353633
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to managing services by a managed service provider (MSP) in a cloud based infrastructure. A control plane of the MSP is established in a first tenancy, and a first access plane of the MSP is established in a second tenancy of a cloud environment. The control plane is configured to manage a plurality of services offered by the MSP to a first host machine included in the second tenancy. A first request is transmitted from the control plane to the first access plane, where the first request is forwarded by the first access plane to the first host machine, and corresponds to a service utilized by the first host machine and managed by the control plane of the MSP. In response to the first request being validated, a first state of the first host machine is modified in the second tenancy based on the first request.

  • Publication number: 20230344539
Abstract: A network station scheduling a frame to be transmitted by a transmitter of the network station at a transmit time. The transmit time is based on a first clock. A request is then issued to a direct memory access (DMA) circuit to retrieve the frame from a system memory. An advance time offset associated with the first clock is determined based on an estimated DMA latency of the DMA circuit. A frame retrieved by the DMA circuit is provided to a staging circuit. When a time of a second clock reaches the transmit time of the frame in the staging circuit, the frame is transmitted at the transmit time. In an example, a time of the first clock is ahead of a time of the second clock by the advance time offset.
