  • Patent number: 10341731
Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses for view-selection feedback for a visual experience are described. These techniques and apparatuses enable writers, directors, and other story creators to create or alter visual experiences based on feedback provided by view selections made during visual experiences. This feedback can be analyzed to determine portions of a visual experience that users focused on, wanted to see more of, were not interested in, found difficult to understand, and so forth. With this feedback, visual experiences, such as live-action movies and animated shorts, can be created or improved.

  • Publication number: 20190200267
Abstract: Techniques for facilitating cellular or wireless fidelity access point selection are provided. In one example herein a method is provided comprising receiving, by a mobile device comprising a processor, first radio load data associated with a predicted radio load of a first channel of a first wireless device. Based on a first condition associated with the first radio load being determined to have been satisfied, the method can facilitate, by the mobile device, receiving second radio load data, indicative of a current radio load, from a second wireless device. Additionally, in response to a second condition associated with the current radio load being determined to have been satisfied, the method can utilize, by the mobile device, a second channel of the second wireless device for a communication.

  • Patent number: 10331483
Abstract: Techniques are described for scheduling data access jobs based on a job dependency analysis. Preliminary data access jobs subsequently accessed by a primary data access job are identified. Execution durations of the primary data access job and the preliminary data access jobs are determined based on historical data. A total execution duration of subsets of serially dependent preliminary data access jobs and predicted execution duration of primary data access job are determined. A time-sensitive subset is identified and start times for the data access job are scheduled. The results of the preliminary data access jobs are provided to the primary data access job prior to the start time of the primary data access job so the primary data access job completes by a target completion duration.

  • Patent number: 10313943
Abstract: Intelligent radio access technology sensing and selection are applied in a dynamic traffic steering network. Network characteristics and network policies are determined. A server sends network characteristics and network policies to user equipment devices. User equipment devices can determine a radio access technology to connect to based on network policies and network characteristics. Further, it can be determined how to select user equipment devices for connection to a radio access network via a radio access technology. User equipment devices can dynamically select a radio access network for connection based on real-time or near real-time radio access network conditions. A self-organizing network can monitor and determine radio access network conditions and the radio access network conditions can be sent to user equipment devices in given cellular broadcast area.

  • Publication number: 20190141480
Abstract: Velocity-weighted analysis of UE location data is disclosed. UE velocity can be determined from the change in position and time. UE dwell can also be determined from the change in position and time. UE dwell and UE velocity can be inversely related. UE dwell an UE velocity can be correlated to a likelihood that an event occurrence related to a point of interest affects UE travel between a first and second location. A location of the point of interest can be determined to be in a region corresponding to a path between the first and second location. The region can be associated with the UE dwell and/or UE velocity, such that a probability of interaction can be determined for the event occurrence for the point of interest. The region can comprise a probable UE path based on historical UE data.

  • Patent number: 10251150
Abstract: A mobile communication device collects and reports location data associated with itself and with mobile communication devices within a proximity. The mobile communication device determines its location and detects the presence of another communication device located within the proximity of the mobile communication device. The mobile communication device determines a location of the other mobile communication device. The mobile communication device reports its location and the location of the other mobile communication device.

  • Patent number: 10229411
Abstract: Fraud analysis for a location aware transaction is disclosed. Location information can be associated with historical fraud events. A location of user equipment can be analyzed against historical fraud information associated with the location to facilitate determination of a fraud factor value. The fraud factor value can reflect a determination related to a likelihood of fraud occurring in an instant transaction based on the historic fraud events proximate to the location. The determination can be based on fraud rules. Further aspects provide for abstraction of the fraud factor to limit exposure of personal information associated with wireless carrier subscribers in fraud analysis for a location aware transaction.

  • Publication number: 20190068554
Abstract: A content filtering system and method includes receiving in a network device in a network from a user device, a user selected set of rules identifying a set of URLs to be blocked. The set of rules are loaded into the network device. The network device receives from the user device a request to access a specified URL. A determination is made at the network device whether the specified URL is in the user selected set of rules. If the specified URL is in the user selected set of rules, then the specified URL is blocked.

  • Patent number: 10206113
Abstract: Sharing timed fingerprint location information is disclosed. In an aspect, timed fingerprint location information can be associated with a location of a user equipment. This timed fingerprint location information can be shared with other devices. As such, with proper analysis, these other devices can employ the shared timed fingerprint location information to determine their location. In an aspect, the other devices can determine that they are located at the same location as the user equipment. However, a level of error can be inherent in the location determined from shared timed fingerprint location information. In some embodiments, this error can be compensated for.

  • Publication number: 20190044956
Abstract: A method of transferring information between subscribers associated with a communication service is disclosed. The method includes receiving a first handle address associated with a first subscriber device, in which the first subscriber device transfers information to a group of subscriber devices, each of the group of subscriber devices is linked to different handle addresses, and each of the different handle addresses is included in a group of handle addresses. The method also includes determining whether the first handle address is included in the group of handle addresses, transferring information from the first subscriber device to the group of subscriber devices in response to the first handle address being included in the group of handle addresses, and verifying that the transferred information was received by the group of subscriber devices. A corresponding system and computer-readable device are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10200808
Abstract: Methods and devices for determining a number of mobile devices travelling from a first location to a second location are disclosed. A method includes determining a first subset of mobile location records associated with the first location, determining mobile device identifiers associated with the first subset, and modifying mobile location records in the first subset by replacing a mobile device identifier contained in each mobile location record with a new identifier of the first subset. The method may then determine a second subset of mobile location records associated with the second location, modify mobile location records in the second subset by replacing a mobile device identifier contained in each mobile location record with a new identifier of the first subset, and determine a number of mobile devices that travelled from the first location to the second location based upon the new identifier of the first subset.

  • Publication number: 20190037444
Abstract: Detection of an unbalanced network load and redistribution of network traffic to balance the network load is provided herein. Load balancing across different radios in the same sector of a cell site can be facilitated through detection of the unbalance network load and changes to one or more parameters can be made to rebalance the network load. After radios within a sector are more evenly balanced, network load balancing across sectors can be facilitated. The balancing can be performed to improve system performance, reduce a dropped call rate, as well as to achieve other benefits that can provide an improved user experience as compared to systems that do not attempt to balance the network load.

  • Publication number: 20190007459
Abstract: A network access credential can be shared among devices based on location information for a device. Location information can include timed fingerprint location information. In an aspect, location information can be associated with a location of user equipment. This location information can be correlated with network access credentials. Location information can be used to access a relevant network access credential. The relevant network access credential can be shared with other devices. In an embodiment, sharing a network access credential can be between mobile devices. In another embodiment, sharing a network access credential can be between a remote computing device and a mobile device. Sharing a credential can allow for access to a network without having to generate or input new credentials.
