A first connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a pivot hook and socket, a second connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a socket, a third connection includes headless bent pin engaging a socket and a limiter, and a fourth connection includes a headless bent pin engaging a socket.

Abstract: A barrier for a home is disclosed. The barrier includes two portions that are quickly slideable relative to each other to take expanded and contracted forms. The barrier includes a metal frame and wood panels engaged in the metal frame. Each of the two portions includes at least one wood panel such that, when the barrier portions are slid to and away from each other, the wood panels slide to and away from each other. The barrier includes a corner pet door that opens in the expanded or contracted forms.

Abstract: A bed rail for engagement between a mattress and a box spring and having a base support and a guard frame, with guard frame having a pivot that pivots and slides in the base support. The base support includes a first seat that seats the pivot and a second seat that seats a biased piece sliding axially on a first support member of the guard frame. The first support member extends from a plastic piece that forms a junction from which a second support member and the pivot extend and that nestles up to the second seat.

Abstract: A pet crate having a top, a bottom, and a cage between the top and bottom. The cage can be engaged to and disengaged from each of the top and bottom. When engaged to the top and bottom, or when disengaged from either one or both of the top and bottom, the cage is endless and can safely hold a pet therein. When disengaged from the top and bottom, the cage is foldable into a closed, endless and flat configuration such that the cage can be stored between the top and bottom such that the crate as a whole in such stored configuration is generally flat. When disengaged from the top and bottom, the cage is foldable out into a fence configuration by disconnecting two ends of the cage.

Abstract: The present chair includes a scissoring straight leg and oblique support mechanism such that the chair may be folded between open and closed forms. The straight legs include lower feet and upper hubs. The oblique supports extend between the lower feet and upper hubs. The lower feet include structures that provide character to the folding chair.

Abstract: The present pull up push down bed rail includes first and second bases that engage a bed, upper and lower cross supports extending between the bases to be adjacent to a near side of the bed to close off any gap between the near side of the bed and the bed rail, and a U-shaped support member having end members that engage the bases. The bases include through openings for the end members that extend into and through the through openings such that the U-shaped support member is pushable down, after which the U-shaped support member is pullable up. Sheeting is engaged to the U-shaped support member.

Abstract: An umbrella canopy that opens and closes not from a stick from within the interior of the umbrella canopy but from the exterior crown where a line is pulled to open the umbrella canopy and where a button is pushed to close the umbrella canopy. The interior of the umbrella canopy includes no stick to hold up the umbrella canopy. Taut edges of the umbrella canopy hold up the umbrella canopy, for instance, on the top edges of a playyard.

Abstract: The present oblique slide latch apparatus includes a housing, lever, and latch. A straight channel is positioned obliquely on the latch and is oblique relative to an axis along which the latch slides. The lever includes first and second pegs that capture inner and outer portions of a latch head to minimize wobble of the latch. The latch head is positioned within opposite sides of the lever.

Abstract: A base unit includes first and fourth connectors that are obliquely positioned relative to each other such that a first connector of a first base unit is engagable to a fourth connector of a second base unit. The present base unit further includes second and third connectors that are obliquely positioned relative to each other such that a second connector of the first base unit is engagable to a third connector of the second base unit. A set of base units may form a self-standing playyard enclosure or one or more of the base units may be clamped by the jaws of a bracket that in turn is pivotably engaged to a wall mount.

Abstract: The present bed rail with offset rails includes a rail portion swingably engaged to first and second leg portions about first and second axis. The rail portion includes first and second end frame portions extending from the first and second axis and defining a plane having a front face and a rear face. The rail portion includes an offset frame portion disposed forwardly of the front face of the plane and spaced from the front face of the plane.

Abstract: The present bed bumper apparatus includes an elongate body that is resilient and flexible, an inner cover enclosing an entirety of the elongate body such that the elongate body is removable from the inner cover only by destroying an integrity of the inner cover, an outer cover enclosing an entirety of the inner cover having the elongate body, and a flexible strap engaged to the outer cover and having a quick release buckle and length adjuster such that the bed bumper can be engaged to a mattress at an edge of the mattress to minimize a person from rolling off the mattress.

Abstract: A double door gate apparatus having a frame, a main gate and a secondary gate, where the apparatus includes the unique features of a) a latch apparatus between uppermost framework members of the main gate and secondary gate, b) the latch apparatus being weighted to return to a normally closed position, c) each of the main gate and secondary gates having an inverted U-shaped piece engaging the bottommost horizontal member such that each of the main and secondary gates need to be lifted prior to being opened and prior to being closed, and d) a pair of hand wheels on a common shaft that work together to space the double door gate apparatus a desired distance from a vertical surface such as a wall.

Abstract: The present floor seat apparatus includes a base, a seat removably seatable in the base, and a tray engagable to the base. The base may be used as a seat by itself, with or without the seat and with or without the tray. The base includes a post. The seat includes a post through opening that engages the post and positions the seat in the seat receptacle of the base.

Abstract: A baby changing pad apparatus having a locator, locator receiver, and non-skid grip combination for engaging the baby changing pad apparatus to a first surface. The locator receiver includes a quick connect first portion engaged to the baby changing pad apparatus. The locator includes a quick connect second portion engagable between the quick connect first portion and first surface. The non-skid grip may engage the first surface with or without the locator engaged to the locator receiver.

Abstract: The present bottom rail controlled bed rail is a one handed bed rail where the bottom rail is lifted out of seats in left and right bases, whereupon the guard rail portion of the bed rail is free to swing relative to the left and right bases. When the bottom rail is lifted, the bottom rail slides up right and left end frame members of the guard rail portion. The left and right end frame members remain pivotally engaged to the left and right bases.

Abstract: A gate apparatus that includes a gate, an elongate member or gate base for the ends of the gate, and a stairway post adapter such that a wooden stairway post can serve as a base for a gate without harming the wood of the stairway post. The stairway post adapter includes a vertical or longitudinally running channel for receiving the gate base, a horizontally or laterally extending channel for receiving a strap, and a recess or receptor or face for confronting a section of a stairway post. The gate base includes an upper and lower eyelet. Each of the ends of the gate includes upper and lower pins for engaging the upper and lower eyelets of the gate bases. On the hinge side of the gate, the pins are relatively long and remain in the eyelets as the gate is lifted and swung. On the latch side of the gate, the pins are relatively short such that that latch side of the gate can be lifted and disengaged from the eyelets and then swung open. The gate is extendable and retractable in length, and is reversible.

The bassinet includes sheeting that is one-piece, that has open and closed ends, and that forms a floor and inside and outside walls. The closed end forms the floor of a flexible wall and floor combination. The sheeting extends in an endless manner from the floor up the inside of the frame to the top of the frame, further extends in an endless manner over the top of the frame to the outside of the frame, and still further extends in an endless manner down the outside of the frame to locations adjacent to the intermediate junctions where the open end of the sheeting is engaged to the frame.

Abstract: The present bed rail includes a rail portion and base portion. The rail portion swings down from an operating position and then slides into the base frame between a mattress and a mattress support to come to rest in the base frame in a stored position. The rail portion includes outer and inner frames. The outer frame is swingably and slideably engaged to the base frame. The inner frame is slideable on straight end portions of the outer frame and engages the base frame to prevent swinging and sliding of the rail portion.

Abstract: A barrier employed to keep children and/or pets in or out of certain areas in the house. The barrier includes four panels. Two main panels slide parallel to each other to lengthen or shorten the barrier as a whole. Two side panels stabilize the main panels and extend to the front and rear faces of the main panels to provide a self-supporting in-house barrier. Each of the panels includes a wooden frame. The wood lends less weight, less sharp edges, and more pleasing aesthetics than, for example, a metal gate. Legs are connected to the side panels to further stabilize the side panels and main panels.
