  • Publication number: 20220307243
Abstract: A plumbing component includes a cold water inlet; a hot water inlet; an outlet configured to output cold water, hot water, or a mixture thereof; a flow shut-off mechanism for restricting the flow of water out of the outlet; a first flow control valve for controlling the flow of cold water; and a second flow control valve for controlling the flow of hot water. Each of the flow control valves comprises a valve member and an associated valve seat, each valve member arranged to engage with the associated valve seat to control the flow of water through the flow control valves to the water outlet. One or both of the valve members includes a graduated flow control bead arranged to seal against the associated valve seat to provide a graduated flow transition between a maximum flow state and a minimum flow state of the, or each, control valve.

  • Publication number: 20220286777
Abstract: Systems and methods of driving plate loudspeakers with different parameters based on frequency region in a way similar to typical cone driver crossover networks are described. These systems and methods may be implemented using arrays of independently controlled drivers which allow a designer to emphasize or de-emphasize certain modes in certain frequency bands. Tuning the characteristics of the plate's motion can also affect the acoustical properties in a larger space rather than just at a single location. The systems and methods described herein can grant a designer a degree of control over the characteristics and performance of the plate.

  • Publication number: 20210310647
Abstract: The present invention relates to heat dissipation for multiple light emitting diode (LED) applications using folded fin. The heat dissipation system and method of the present invention uses a folded fin structure to provide progressive thermal management strategies for high power LED light sources. The LED light sources are attached to the folded fin structure by any suitable means, including but not limited to ultrasonic welding, linear welding, torsion welding, brazing, soldering, clipping or otherwise mechanically attaching, adhesion means, or combinations thereof. The folded fin structure as the heat transfer management strategy for high power LED light sources provides enhanced performance with reduced weight and space requirements.
