Abstract: This invention relates to the use of a composition for local percutaneous delivery of a drug such as a muscle relaxant, more particularly cyclobenzaprine in an organogel cream. The composition is applied by the patient directly to the skin over accessible muscles of mastication i.e., masseter and temporalis. The composition is rapidly absorbed through the skin to provide control of harmful habits such as bruxism and tooth clenching. The composition can also be applied to the skin overlying these muscles to control muscle hyperactivity (spasm) and/or trigger points, from other causes. The composition can be formulated to include another active agent such as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, for example ketoprofen.

Abstract: The present invention is a penile prosthesis device and a non-surgical method of implantation of the device into a penis. The prosthesis device is designed to be an elastic mantle to be implanted directly into the corpus cavenosum cavity. The prosthesis device contains an elongated tube plugged at both ends and fillable with a biocompatible liquid. The liquid may be pre-filled or injected into a implanted prosthesis device to achieve the resilience and feel of the penis. The invention includes a balloon which is inserted into the corpus cavenosum cavity and a pump is used to pressurize the cavity and achieve a cylindrical expansion of the form of the penis. The invention also includes an elastic mantle having a unit including a plurality of magnets to achieve rigidity, thereby causing the penis to become erect.

Abstract: A new method of treatment of migraine, tension-type headaches, post-traumatic headache, atypical facial pain as well as cervical pain and muscle spasm is presented, comprising the application of bursts of low power laser light to the area of intra-oral tenderness associated with the above conditions. The zone of tenderness is in the area of the plexus formed by the posterior and middle superior alveolar branches of the ipsilateral maxillary nerve. The intra-oral tenderness associated with migraine, tension-type headaches, post-traumatic headache, atypical facial pain, cervical pain and muscle spasm disappears almost immediately, returning in approximately 3 hours to a few days, With repeated applications, a marked decrease or elimination of the intra-oral tenderness and similar elimination of migraine, tension-type headaches, post-traumatic headache, atypical facial pain, cervical and muscle spasm frequency and intensity was observed.

Abstract: A mop holder for a yarn-type mop head comprises a shank which is adapted for connection to a mop handle and an elongated member which has a threaded rod extending therefrom. The threaded rod includes an upper and a lower part. The lower part which is larger than the upper part is located intermediate the elongated member and this upper part. A nut is provided for engagement with the lower part of the threaded rod whereas the shank is adapted with an inner sleeve for screwable engagement thereof with the upper part of the threaded rod. The mop head comprises a grommet defined therein that is of larger transverse dimension than that of the lower part of the rod for being positioned therearound. Therefore the mop head is secured to the mop holder by way of the nut which is engaged in the rod while the shank ensures tightness of the nut.
