  • Publication number: 20250242828
Abstract: Monitoring driving characteristics by a first sensor and environmental characteristics by a second sensor, and determining, based on data of the first sensor and data of the second sensor, a deviant driving characteristic and an associated environmental characteristic. Further determining a deviant driving behavior based on the deviant driving characteristic and the associated environmental characteristic, for example, based on repeated instances of the deviant driving characteristic and the associated environmental characteristic. Indicating, to a driver of the vehicle, a corrective action for correcting the deviant driving characteristic, where the indication may be via a user interface of the vehicle or of a mobile device. In some implementations, the driver can review determined deviant driving behaviors via an application and provide to the application a driving goal for focused correction of certain deviant driving behaviors.

  • Patent number: 12354418
Abstract: A system may detect a sound associated with a vehicle. The sound may be detected using a set of one or more microphones. The system may use a machine learning model to detect at least one of a squeak or a rattle based on the sound. The machine learning model may be trained using a plurality of sounds emitted in relation to one or more vehicles. The system may determine, based on detecting at least one of the squeak or the rattle, a location of the vehicle associated with at least one of the squeak or the rattle. In some implementations, the location may be determined based on detecting different sound levels between a first microphone and a second microphone, or detecting a time difference between the first and the second microphone, or by correlating the sound to a sound signature associated with a part of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12325409
Abstract: Vehicle control using map-based braking includes receiving, while a driver is operating the vehicle to traverse a vehicle transportation network, vehicle operation information including at least a current speed of the vehicle, retrieving, from a planned path of an in-vehicle navigation system, an upcoming turn in a current road when the driver is using the in-vehicle navigation system, and retrieving from map data, the upcoming turn in the current road when the driver is not using tin-vehicle navigation system. Thereafter, it is determined whether, during the upcoming turn, wheels of the vehicle will maintain contact with a road surface at the current speed. A braking instruction is issued to a control system of the vehicle responsive to whether the wheels of the vehicle will maintain contact with the road surface at the current speed.

  • Publication number: 20240211046
Abstract: Road feel is created in a vehicle that has a steer-by-wire system using image data obtained from one or more cameras on the vehicle and image data obtained from a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) sensor. A generative adversarial network (GAN) machine learning (ML) model is used to determine a road surface based on the image data from the one or more cameras and the image data from the LIDAR sensor. Haptic vibrations are generated based on the determined road surface to create the road feel using one or more motors on various vehicle components.

  • Patent number: 11973810
Abstract: Illustrative embodiments disclose systems for sharing, among a group of consumers, data provided by a contributor. Some embodiments are well-suited for real-time distribution of data developing from ongoing incidents, and may be useful, for example, for emergency management. Illustrative embodiments provide a cloud-based system having tenants that are data contributors and data consumers. The system receives, from each contributor, both data and sharing rules that dictate whether and how that data may be shared, and with whom (which consumer or consumers), and then provide data to such consumer or consumers according to the sharing rules.

  • Patent number: 11839903
Abstract: A vacuum pumping system which comprises a plurality of vacuum pumping arrangements for evacuating a flammable gas stream and exhausting the gas stream through an exhaust outlet. A housing houses the vacuum pumping arrangements and forms an air flow duct for an air flow for mixing with the exhaust gas stream output from the exhaust outlet in a mixing region in the housing. An airflow generator generates an air flow through the air flow duct to cause mixing of air with the flammable gas stream to a percentage of the flammable gas in the air flow lower than the lower flammability limit of the flammable gas. An airflow sensor senses the flow of air for determining if the air flow is sufficient to dilute the flammable gas to lower than said percentage.
