  • Publication number: 20100322753
Abstract: A method of operating a working machine which includes a main structure and a working arm pivotally mounted at one end on the main structure. The working arm is raisable and lowerable relative to the main structure by a first actuator device, and is extendible relative to the main structure by a second actuator device. In use, the arm carries at another end a working implement which can carry a load. The machine further including a ground engaging drive structure by which the machine is drivable on the ground. The machine has a longitudinal load moment control system which automatically disables operation of the first and/or second actuator devices from increasing longitudinal instability in the event that a predetermined instability is sensed. When the machine senses a ground travelling speed above a threshold speed, the longitudinal load moment control system is disabled.

  • Patent number: 7708352
Abstract: A vehicle axle includes an axle housing defining a cavity. The axle includes a pair of outer drive shafts, each being coaxially received in a respective housing cavity and slidable therein, each outer drive shaft defining a splined cavity. The axle includes a pair of inner drive shafts, each having a splined end coaxially coupled to a respective outer drive shaft splined cavity such that a respective outer drive shaft is slidably movable therein. A piston is attached to the inner end of each outer drive shaft and separates an inner fluid chamber from an outer fluid chamber. A fluid channel includes opposed ends in communication with respective fluid chambers. A force absorption container is in fluid communication with each fluid channel and includes a compression spring, wherein the spring is compressed when movement of the piston pushes fluid through the channel into the force absorption container.

  • Publication number: 20080098291
Abstract: The present invention is directed to systems and methods of creating and deploying electronic forms for collecting information from a user using a browser, where the browser may be one of a plurality of browser platforms. Characteristics of forms are entered by a human designer using a form designer by using drag-and-drop operations, and stored in XML template files. The form may be previewed by the designer. When a user on the Internet (or an intranet) requests a form by a browser, the characteristics of the browser are sensed and a form appropriate for the browser is deployed to the browser by a form server. Information is then captured from the user. The form may also be saved or printed.

  • Patent number: 7209953
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for transmitting a file associated with an email message from an issuer device in a network to a recipient device in the network. The email message and file are generated by the issuer device in response to a request received at the issuer device. The system comprises a proxy server in the network, processing software operating on the proxy server and transmission software operating on the issuer device. The transmission software operating on the issuer device has an attachment selection module and an attachment transmission module. The attachment selection module generates an attachment identifier related to the file, the attachment identifier identifies the issuer device, a version of the file and a location in the network for the proxy server. The attachment selection module further generates an email for transmission to the recipient device, the email having the attachment identifier attached thereto.

  • Patent number: 7200010
Abstract: A thin film circuit module constructed for serial coupling to circuit conductors at printed and transmission line circuits. In one form of equalizer construction, thin film circuit elements are deposited on a supporting substrate and wherein a capacitor plate is defined a circuit resistor. Two connector applications serially couple the equalizer modules to trace conductors of a motherboard connector block and to cylindrical core conductors of a coaxial connector. Other hybrid equalizer constructions provide modules constructed of thin film resistors and pick-and-placed capacitors mounted piggyback to an equalizer module substrate.

  • Patent number: 7003693
Abstract: System-managed duplexing of coupling facility structures. A plurality of instances of coupling facility structures are maintained in a plurality of coupling facilities. Duplexing processing associated with the plurality of instances is managed by one or more operating systems, making many of the steps associated with duplexing transparent to the exploiters of the coupling facility structures. System-managed duplexing provides high availability for coupling facility structure data via a robust recovery mechanism (i.e., duplexing failover).

  • Patent number: 6954817
Abstract: A coupling facility is coupled to one or more other coupling facilities via one or more peer links. The coupling of the facilities enables various functions to be supported, including the duplexing of structures of the coupling facilities. Duplexing is performed on a structure basis, and thus, a coupling facility may include duplexed structures, as well as non-duplexed or simplexed structures.

  • Patent number: 6854585
Abstract: A directional small part transporter and sorter simultaneously imparts upon a part-carrying platen reciprocating movements along one or two horizontal axis perpendicular to each other and a third vertical axis. A stack of slidingly coupled carriages are each independently driven by a stepping motor. Each motor is coupled to a carriage by means of a mechanism that translates the rotation of the motor into a linear translation of the coupled carriage by means of a worm screw or transmission belt. An electronic module controlled by a data processor allows for adjustment of the duration, amplitude, frequency and phase relationship of the three periodical movements of the platen. A part reservoir along the platen can be either raised to deliver parts onto the platen or lowered below the platen ledge to receive parts off the platen. The transporter and sorter may be used in connection with various electronic component manufacturing processes.
