  • Publication number: 20160262101
Abstract: A method and system for synchronized switching of a Transmission Time Interval, TTI, between at least two different TTI length values. A UE 100 transmitting a power report, where a control node 150 or a Base Station 110A evaluates the report and decides, based on the evaluation to order the UE to switch to a different TTI length. The order message comprises the number of TTIs after which a TTI switch has to occur, composed a.o. based on radio environment condition. The UE receives a TTI switch order message and replies with a single message to its serving BS with a message to switch the TTI in a synchronous way.

  • Publication number: 20160249403
Abstract: Methods for controlling uplink transmission of data to a network node of a communications system a user equipment node are disclosed. The methods include receiving parameters to configure enhanced uplink in CELL_FACH state, determining, whether the user equipment node is able to communicate on an E-DCH in CELL_FACH state and determining whether additional defined conditions have been satisfied, and performing a cell update operation to obtain an E-RNTI value responsive to determining that the User equipment node is not able to communicate on an E-DCH in CELL_FACH state. The methods may also include transmitting uplink data on an E-DCH transport channel to the network node responsive to determining that the user equipment node is able to communicate on an E-DCH in CELL_FACH state and determining that the additional defined conditions have been satisfied. Related user equipment nodes are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20150382314
Abstract: A method in a network node for sending a pilot power value in a heterogeneous mobile communications network. The heterogeneous mobile communications network comprises a second set of base station nodes selected to operate in a Multiple Input Multiple Output, MIMO, -mode. The second set of base station nodes share a cell identity and are deployed within a coverage area. The network node computes (802) a pilot power value to be applicable when one or more mobile devices in the coverage area evaluates receipt of one or more Secondary Common Pilot Channels, S-CPICH, from a transmitter in said second set of base station nodes, wherein the computing is based on a measure indicative of a transmission power of the second set of base stations. The network node sends a signal to a radio network controller. The signal comprises the computed pilot power value, and enables the one or more mobile devices to be configured for MIMO operation.

  • Publication number: 20150180627
Abstract: A method performed in a network node, of scheduling resources for downlink transmissions to a user equipment, UE, in a heterogeneous wireless communication network including macro nodes and Low Power Nodes, LPNs, in a combined cell deployment, wherein each macro node shares a cell identity with one or more LPNs. The method comprises configuring two or more pilot signals for probing the UE, wherein each pilot signal is configured to be distinguishable from configured one or more other pilot signals. A resource control, RRC, signal is sent to the UE, the RRC signal including information on the configuration of the two or more pilot signals. The network node controls transmission of the two or more pilot signals, wherein transmission of one pilot signal is originated from the macro node and transmission of one or more further pilot signals is originated from respective one or more LPNs.

  • Publication number: 20100075730
Abstract: An electronic video gaming machine device utilizing a bill acceptor or coin acceptor designed so that a player may make a wager to gain higher awards or prescribed pay-outs if numbers come out in the prescribed pattern displayed on the pay table according to the pay-out schedule. The device has a total of thirteen laid down rules of numbers of which there are thirteen odd numbers and thirteen even numbers. The numbers are also marked with colors. The colors are thirteen red numbers, thirteen black numbers, thirteen blue numbers and thirteen green numbers. The player makes a wager to play a row of five numbers. After wagering of coin or credits, the device will present five numbers in a prescribed portion of the display screen. The player selects the numbers that will be kept by pressing the corresponding “HOLD BUTTON”. A repeated press of the same “HOLD BUTTON” will release the hold and the number will be replaced when the display button is pushed.

  • Publication number: 20050089905
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and materials to identify genetic abnormalities that predispose an individual to ion-channel diseases. The invention provides four polymorphic sites in the KCNQ1 gene that cause reduced conductance of the associated potassium ion channel current and a variant form of the KCNE1 gene which causes decreased conductance though the channel. The variant form of KCNE1 also acts synergistically with variants of KCNQ1 to cause further decreased conductance than either variant alone. The invention further provides polymorphisms in ion channel genes showing a higher frequency in populations afflicted with ion channel diseases or within control groups. The detection of these polymorphic sites that produce the potassium ion channel protein variants in either heterozygous or homozygous form in a subject indicates that the subject has, or is susceptible to, ion channel diseases such as congenital or acquired cardiac arrhythmia, LQT syndrome, SIDS, epilepsy, or hearing loss.
