Publication number: 20160060906Abstract: A locking bolt retaining mechanism for a safe is provided. The safe includes a door pivotally coupled with an enclosure housing, at least one locking bolt, a lock actuator operationally connected with the locking bolt to move it between extended and retracted positions, and a lock for preventing the lock actuator from moving the locking bolt to the retracted position. The bolt retaining system comprises a bracket guide including a guide member and an engagement member coupled to the door, and a bracket arm connected to the locking bolt. The bracket arm is slidably disposed between the guide member and engagement member of the bracket guide. Upon occurrence of an engagement event, the bracket arm engages the engagement member of the bracket guide to prevent the locking bolt from moving from the extended position thereby preventing disengagement of the locking bolt from the at least one bolt receiving aperture.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 2, 2014Publication date: March 3, 2016Applicant: John D. Patent number: 7976138Abstract: The present invention pertains to a data-providing component securing mechanism for a printing apparatus reservoir. According to embodiments of the present invention, a securing mechanism is provided with an image-formation-material reservoir. The securing mechanism includes a drawer-style support feature having two guiding regions that interact with sides of the data-providing component when it is inserted therein. Upon complete or substantially complete insertion of the data-providing component into the drawer-style support feature, a retention feature is engaged at an opening end of the drawer-style support feature in order to retain the data-providing component in its engaged position. Consequently, the data-providing component can be secured without the use of external bonding agents, and can be removed from the drawer-style support feature intact, thereby allowing such data-providing component to be reused.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2006Date of Patent: July 12, 2011Assignee: Eastman Kodak CompanyInventors: Douglas E. Patent number: 7780280Abstract: A seal for an ink-discharge port on a printer ink cartridge, according to various embodiments of the present invention, is disclosed. The seal has a surface containing channels that oppose a direction in which the port is configured to discharge ink from the ink cartridge. Such channels facilitate the retention of ink by the seal during removal of the seal, thereby reducing the likelihood of ink spillage during such removal.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2007Date of Patent: August 24, 2010Assignee: Eastman Kodak CompanyInventors: Daniel G. Patent number: 7731335Abstract: The present invention provides a pedestal that protrudes from a fluid reservoir device that retains fluid for a fluid-ejection printing device. A data storage device may be mounted on the pedestal such that when the fluid reservoir device is inserted into a supporting structure, the pedestal and data storage device mounted thereon protrude into or through an opening in a surface of the supporting structure. Consequently, a disconnectable connection to the data storage device may be made at a location other than the inside of the supporting structure. Accordingly, connection to the data storage device is simplified and the risk of damage or a reduction in performance to the data storage device or its electrical contacts from fluid leaks from the fluid reservoir device is reduced.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2006Date of Patent: June 8, 2010Assignee: Eastman Kodak CompanyInventors: R. Publication number: 20080163054Abstract: Virtual reality tools for product development including collections of avatars and virtual reality business models for avatar use. A method of designing a product to be worn by an individual includes selecting a population of avatars, where each avatar provides a representation of at least a portion a human body, and the population of avatars may be representative of a population of individuals. The method also includes obtaining a set of data describing a product to be worn by the individuals in the population of individuals, for each avatar, in the population avatars, generating a virtual reality simulation that simulates an avatar interacting with the product, and analyzing the interaction between the avatar and the selected product to evaluate at least one performance characteristic of the product.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 30, 2006Publication date: July 3, 2008Inventors: Christopher M.
