  • Patent number: 12162745
Abstract: A system for filling a tank for a firefighting helicopter with water without ground personnel, comprising a pilot controlled valve assembly to selectively permit water to flow into the refill tank upon the receipt of a communication transmitted by a communication device within the helicopter. The pilot controlled valve assembly can include a supply valve configured to move between at least a closed state and an open state, a controller configured to control the supply valve, and a receiver configured to send a signal to a controller to cause the controller to at least open the supply valve upon receipt by the receiver of a communication meeting one or more predetermined criteria. The water tank can be filled from a water source, including a municipal water source, when the supply valve is open to provide a more efficient, semi-autonomous refill tank system greatly improves costly and time-consuming manually refill systems.

  • Patent number: 12153674
Abstract: An event graph can be generated, and, upon malware detection, traversed backward to identify a root cause associated with the malware detection. Using this information, rules for earlier malware detection can be created by analyzing the event graph proximal to the root cause rather than proximal to the malware detection trigger.

  • Publication number: 20240385959
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for a streamlined garbage collection process during which data integrity checking is also performed for a distributed key-value (KV) store utilized by a distributed storage system. According to one embodiment, by making use of full or truncated block IDs (rather than an intermediate probabilistic data structure, such as a Bloom filter) for garbage collection, data integrity checking can be performed concurrently almost for free. During garbage collection, a block ID compare list may be compared to block IDs within the distributed KV store. If a particular block ID is present in the distributed KV store but is missing from the block ID compare list, the corresponding data block represents garbage to be collected. If the particular block ID is present in the block ID compare list but missing from the distributed KV store, a data integrity error has been identified.

  • Patent number: 12148040
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for directing cash flows associated with a mortgage-backed security to back other securities without collapsing the original mortgage-backed security. A mortgage-backed security /an/or a set of loans is analyzed to identify cash flows from mortgages having specific desirable characteristics, and the cash flows are directed to subgroups or pools that support new mortgage-backed securities. The new securities make the desirable cash flows available to an issuer or prospective investor without collapsing the original mortgage-backed security.

  • Publication number: 20240354302
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for identifying a co-applicant based on proximity to an applicant. In an embodiment, a processor determines a location of the applicant, and identifies a plurality of potential co-applicants that are collocated with the location of the applicant. For each respective potential co-applicant of the plurality of potential co-applicants, the processor determines whether a respective edge exists on a graph that connects the applicant with the respective potential co-applicant, and, responsive to determining that the respective edge exists, identifies the respective potential co-applicant as a candidate co-applicant. The processor generates for display, on a device of the applicant, a selectable option that, when selected, indicates that the applicant would like to use the candidate co-applicant as a co-applicant for an application. Responsive to detecting a selection of the selectable option, the processor activates the application at a device of the candidate co-applicant.

  • Publication number: 20240353260
Abstract: Techniques for providing feedback to match coatings. A coating system receives coating attributes of a test coating previously applied to an asset. The coating attributes include a digital measurement of the test coating and data describing environmental conditions. The system displays. on a user interface. a first surface coated using the target coating and displays a second surface coated using the test coating. The user interface also displays the coating attributes of the test coating. The system evaluates deltas observed between the test coating and the target coating. The system provides feedback to the remote facility. The feedback details the observed deltas and further provides instructions on how to reduce those deltas. By reducing the deltas. the test coating will more closely alignment with the target coating.

  • Patent number: 12126973
Abstract: Methods for performing dynamic range compression (DRC) on audio in a manner intended to produce output audio for playback by systems or devices with limited power handling capabilities and preferably also to reduce or prevent undesirable artifacts (e.g., pumping and/or breathing) in the output audio. Some embodiments perform the DRC so as to maximize average loudness (while preventing loss of quieter elements) during playback, and also to reduce or prevent distortion. Other aspects are systems or devices configured to perform embodiments of the method. In some embodiments, reduced DRC is applied when average loudness of the input audio approaches (or matches or exceeds) a target (e.g., a knee point for DRC, or a signal level near to a maximum playback level of the intended playback system), since such input audio is assumed to have already been compressed, and otherwise applying full DRC to the input audio.
