  • Patent number: 12115597
Abstract: An assembly for measuring metal powder material mass flow rate during direct metal deposition. A detection strip is placed in the gas-blown metal powder material flow path. The detection strip is fixed in one end and suspended at the other end. The flowing metal powder material particles induce displacement to the detection strip. A displacement measurement sensor measures the amount of displacement of the detection strip. The amount of displacement of the detection strip gives relationship to the amount of the metal powder material flowing in the metal powder material flow path. The detection strip and the sensor are connected to a housing with a metal powder material inlet port and metal powder material outlet port and includes internal features for smooth travel of metal powder material particles.

  • Patent number: 12116324
Abstract: Processes capable of producing bulk materials suitable for use by the horticulture industry, resulting bulk materials produced thereby, and applications for these processes and materials. Preferred bulk materials have physical properties similar to peat moss and comprise individual materials, each at least partially having a twisted, curled, clumped and rolled structure. The individual materials may further comprise small granular particles dispersed throughout the twisted, curled, clumped and rolled structure. The individual materials may be rolled fibers such that the bulk material has physical properties similar to sphagnum peat moss so as to be particularly suitable as, for example, a soil conditioner, an absorbent material, a chemical carrier, or a filtering material. Alternatively, the individual materials may be rolled particles such that the bulk material has physical properties similar to milled peat moss so as to be particularly suitable as propagation media.

  • Publication number: 20240318616
Abstract: A variable flow area injector for a liquid rocket engine. The injector has a poppet with a variable outer width portion and a housing with a variable inner width portion. An annular flow path is defined between the variable width portions. Increased throttling of the engine passively increases the annular flow area of the injector by forcing the poppet in a distal direction. Decreased throttling allows a restoring spring to move the poppet in a proximal direction to decrease the annular flow area. A bellows can be included to dampen movement of the poppet. The bellows may be in a propellant-filled cavity separate from the main propellant flow path and have a series of openings through which the separate propellant flows.

  • Patent number: 12066933
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for a streamlined garbage collection process during which data integrity checking is also performed for a distributed key-value (KV) store utilized by a distributed storage management system. According to one embodiment, by making use of full or truncated block IDs (rather than an intermediate probabilistic data structure, such as a Bloom filter) for garbage collection, data integrity checking can be performed concurrently almost for free. During garbage collection, a block ID compare list is compared to block IDs within the distributed KV store. If a particular block ID is present in the distributed KV store but is missing from the block ID compare list, the corresponding data block represents garbage to be collected. If the particular block ID is present in the block ID compare list but missing from the distributed KV store, a data integrity error has been identified.

  • Patent number: 12064255
Abstract: Apparatus and methods provide compliance management tools such as for respiratory pressure therapy. In some versions, a respiratory pressure therapy system may include one or more processors, such as of a data server, configured to communicate with a computing device and/or a respiratory pressure therapy device. The respiratory pressure therapy device may be configured to deliver respiratory pressure therapy to a patient for a session. The computing device may be associated with the patient. The processor(s) may be further configured to compute a therapy quality indicator of the session from usage data relating to the session. The therapy quality indicator may be a number derived from contributions of a plurality of usage variables for the session in the usage data. The processor(s) may be further configured to present, such as by transmitting, the therapy quality indicator to the computing device. The therapy quality indicator may promote patient compliance.

  • Publication number: 20240273025
Abstract: A super home node of a first chip of a multi-chip data processing system manages coherence for both local and remote cache lines accessed by local caching agents and local cache lines accessed by caching agents of one or more second chips. Both local and remote cache lines are stored in a shared cache, and requests are stored in shared point-of-coherency queue. An entry in a snoop filter table of the super home node includes a presence vector that indicates the presence of a remote cache line at specific caching agents of the first chip or the presence of a local cache line at specific caching agents of the first chip and any caching agent of the second chip. All caching agents of the second chip are represented as a single caching agent in the presence vector.

  • Publication number: 20240273026
Abstract: A data processing apparatus includes one or more cache configuration data stores, a coherence manager, and a shared cache. The coherence manager is configured to track and maintain coherency of cache lines accessed by local caching agents and one or more remote caching agents. The cache lines include local cache lines accessed from a local memory region and remote cache lines accessed from a remote memory region. The shared cache is configured to store local cache lines in a first partition and to store remote cache lines in a second partition. The sizes of the first and second partitions are determined based on values in the one or more cache configuration data stores and may or not overlap. The cache configuration data stores may be programmable by a user or dynamically programmed in response to local memory and remote memory access patterns.
