  • Patent number: 10499499
Abstract: A programmable circuit includes an array of printed groups of microscopic transistors or diodes. The devices are pre-formed and printed as an ink and cured. A patterned hydrophobic layer defines the locations of the printed dots of the devices. The devices in each group are connected in parallel so that each group acts as a single device. Each group has at least one electrical lead that terminates in a patch area on the substrate. An interconnection conductor pattern interconnects at least some of the leads of the groups in the patch area to create logic circuits for a customized application of the generic circuit. The groups may also be interconnected to be logic gates, and the gate leads terminate in the patch area. The interconnection conductor pattern then interconnects the gates for form complex logic circuits.

  • Patent number: 10497672
Abstract: Active LEDs have a control transistor in series with an LED and have a top electrode, a bottom electrode, and a control electrode. The active LEDs are microscopic and dispersed in an ink. A substrate has column lines, and the active LEDs are printed at various pixel locations so the bottom electrodes contact the column lines. A hydrophobic mask defines the pixel locations. Due to the printing process, there are different numbers of active LEDs in the various pixel locations. Row lines and control lines contact the top and control electrodes so that the active LEDs in each single pixel location are connected in parallel. If the LEDs emit blue light, red and green phosphors are printed over various pixel locations to create an ultra-thin color display. Any active LED may be addressed using row and column addressing, and the brightness may be controlled using the control lines.

  • Patent number: 10496366
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for recognizing and responding to vocal commands in a virtual or physical environment. A system may receive voice data from a user and determine an intended command. In a virtual environment, the system may then determine a position and viewpoint orientation of the user to be able to determine one or more digital assets in a field of view of the user. The system may then apply the command to at least a first digital asset of these digital assets. In a physical environment, the system may determine one or more devices in the environment that the command may be applied to and output a unique sensory pattern to each device such that the sensory pattern may be used to distinguish one device from another device. The system may receive one of these output sensory patterns and determine the sensory pattern is unique to a first device of the one or more devices, indicating the first device is the device the user wishes to command.

  • Patent number: 10489588
Abstract: A data recorder stores endpoint activity on an ongoing basis as sequences of events that causally relate computer objects such as processes and files, and patterns within this event graph can be used to detect the presence of malware on the endpoint. The underlying recording process may be dynamically adjusted in order to vary the amount and location of recording as the security state of the endpoint changes over time.

  • Patent number: 10489315
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling direct memory transfer (DMT) in a data processing system with mismatched bus-widths in which a home node automatically determines, from a read request received from a requestor node, whether DMT should be enabled or disabled dependent on the bus-widths of the requestor node and a target slave node and on the size of the access. Optionally, when the slave node has a smaller bus width than the requestor node, a data combiner at an upload port for the target slave node merges two or more data beats of requested data received from the target slave node to form a single wider beat and transmits the single wider beat to the requestor node. A counter may be used to determine when a data buffer in the data combiner has sufficient space to store data beats to be merged.

  • Publication number: 20190339904
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for operating a solid state drive (SSD) using two-level indirection architecture. The SSD receives a command to perform a data operation in a NAND array and a logical address for the data operation. The SSD then converts the logical address to a physical address using a two-stage logical-to-physical (L2P) mapping table that includes a first stage stored in a byte-rewritable memory and a second stage stored in a block-erasable non-volatile memory (NVM). The SSD performs the data operation in the NAND array based on the physical address. The byte-rewritable memory may any byte-rewritable persistent memory. The block-erasable low latency NVM may be a flash memory that has lower latency than NAND array.
