  • Patent number: 10282785
Abstract: Systems and methods provide customizable insurance according to consumer preferences and attributes. An enhanced attributes analysis server may analyze the attributes of a consumer and match these attributes with attributes of current customers of an entity managing the server. The insurance products/plans preferred by the matched customers may then be used to present insurance options to the consumer. In addition, the server may further customize insurance options based on answers to questions that relate to the consumer's specific situation. Further still, the consumer's social network may be used to understand insurance products/plans that may be preferred by the consumer.

  • Patent number: 10282297
Abstract: A system comprises a number of master devices and an interconnect for managing coherency between the master devices. In response to a read-with-overridable-invalidate transaction received by the interconnect from a requesting master device requesting that target data associated with a target address is provided to the requesting master device, when target data associated with the target address is stored by a cache, the interconnect issues a snoop request to said cache triggering invalidation of the target data from the cache except when the interconnect or cache determines to override the invalidation and retain the target data in the cache. This enables greater efficiency in cache usage since data which the requesting master considers is unlikely to be needed again can be invalidated from caches located outside the master device itself.

  • Patent number: 10251311
Abstract: A cooling system for cooling air in a rack mounted equipment such as computer systems. The cooling system includes a split and staggered cooling system where the cooling is carried out by two different parallel coolers. One of the coolers is pressed against the walls of the cooling duct, but allows some amount of the air to pass around the cooler. The output of that first cooler is also constricted to a similar amount as the air output that passes around the first cooler. The second cooler is downstream of the first cooler, and receives all the air that passes around the first cooler and provides cooling to that air. In this way, two different split coolers can be used to cool the air stream.

  • Publication number: 20190094329
Abstract: A utility meter includes a meter housing in which are supported at least one current coil, a temperature sensor, and a processing circuit. The current coil can be coupled to receive heat energy from within or on the meter socket. The temperature sensor generates a sensor signal based on a temperature within the meter housing. The processing circuit is operably coupled to the temperature sensor and the at least one current coil. The processing circuit obtains the sensor signal and generates temperature information therefrom, and also generates measurements of current through the current coil. The processing circuit generates an adjustment based at least on the square of the measured current, and determines whether an abnormal condition exists based on the temperature information, the adjustment, and a threshold. The processing circuit can generate an output signal to a display or communication circuit responsive to determining that the abnormal condition exists.
