  • Publication number: 20130245897
Abstract: Systems and methods for compensating dipper swing control. One method includes, with at least one processor, determining a direction of compensation opposite a current swing direction of the dipper and applying the maximum available swing torque in the direction of compensation when an acceleration of the dipper is greater than a predetermined acceleration value. The method can also include determining a current state of the shovel and performing the above steps when the current state of the shovel is a swing-to-truck state or a return-to-tuck state. When the current state of the shovel is a dig-state, the method can include limiting the maximum available swing torque and allowing, with the at least one processor, swing torque to ramp up to the maximum available swing torque over a predetermined period of time when dipper is retracted to a predetermined crowd position.

  • Publication number: 20120112062
Abstract: An environmental cell for a charged particle beam system allows relative motion between the cell mounted on an X-Y stage and the optical axis of the focusing column, thereby eliminating the need for a sub-stage within the cell. A flexible cell configuration, such as a retractable lid, permits a variety of processes, including beam-induced and thermally-induced processes. Photon yield spectroscopy performed in a charged particle beam system and using gas cascade amplification of the photoelectrons allows analysis of material in the cell and monitoring of processing in the cell. Luminescence analysis can be also performed using a retractable minor.

  • Patent number: 7257799
Abstract: A method for designing and using a partially manufactured semiconductor product is disclosed. The partially manufactured semiconductor product, referred to as a slice, contains a fabric of configurable transistors and at least an area of embedded memory. The method contemplates that a range of processors, processing elements, processing circuits exists which might be manufactured as a hardmacs or configured from the transistor fabric of the slice. The method then evaluates all the memory requirements of all the processors in the range to create a memory superset to be embedded into the slice. The memory superset can then be mapped and routed to a particular memory for one of the processors within the range; ports can be mapped and routed to access the selected portions of the memory superset. If any memory is not used, then it and/or its adjoining transistor fabric can become a landing zone for other functions or registers or memories.

  • Patent number: 6252363
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic circuit that interrupts the application of electrical power to a motor after a predetermined period of time. The electronic circuit is disposed between a motor which drives a device from an initial position to a final position and a switch movable from a first position to a second position. A battery which supplies the electrical power for the motor is engaged with the switch. The control circuit includes at least two energy storage devices. Depending on the position of the switch, one of the energy storage devices will be fully charged by the battery source. Altering the position of the switch will cause the fully charged energy storage device to begin its discharge and the alternate energy storage device will be “instantly” charged. During the time that both energy storage devices have a significant charge on them, a control signal is generated.
