  • Patent number: 8193431
Abstract: A hand-held hammer for playing a guitar includes a handle, an arm and a head. The head has a head longitudinal axis and a striking surface that is generally transverse to the longitudinal axis of the arm. The striking surface is curved and equal to or longer than the distance between the first and fourth string of a six-string guitar. The player holds the guitar, selects the string length by fretting one or more strings, grips the hammer by the handle and strikes the strings with the striking surface.

  • Publication number: 20110175448
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a combined wireless bridge and power strip including a housing defining an interior and an exterior. A power cord is coupled to the housing. A power surge protector coupled to the power cord is disposed in the housing. An electrical power switch is coupled to the surge protector and is disposed in the housing. An array of electrical outlets is coupled to the electrical power switch and is disposed in the housing in operative communication between the interior and the exterior. A power transformer is coupled to the power surge protector in the housing interior. A wireless bridge is coupled to the power transformer and can be disposed in the housing interior or on its exterior. The wireless bridge includes one or more ports to provide entry points for devices requiring wired LAN entry points.

  • Publication number: 20060094270
Abstract: A signal transferring unit includes a base having a connector for connecting an inlet line and an outlet line. A bolt is threadedly connected to a hole defined in the base and the earth line extends through a transverse passage which is in communication with the hole. A protrusion extends longitudinally from a distal end of the positioning member and a positioning piece is rotatably mounted to the protrusion and has a recess defined in an underside thereof such that the earth line is engaged with the recess.

  • Publication number: 20050109939
Abstract: A radiation field detection system, for use with a radiating device, includes a radiation detector configured to receive radiation and to provide radiation strength indicia of amounts of radiation received, a positioning mechanism connected to the radiation detector and configured to physically move the radiation detector, and a processor coupled to the positioning mechanism and coupled to the radiation detector to receive the radiation strength indicia, the processor being configured to: actuate the positioning mechanism to move the radiation detector to desired locations within a radiation field produced by the radiating device; analyze the radiation strength indicia from the radiation detector; correlate positions of the radiation detector with corresponding amounts of received radiation; determine a first location of maximum detected radiation; and determine a first relationship between the first location of maximum detected radiation and a second location of maximum radiation.

  • Publication number: 20050077459
Abstract: A real, physical radiation phantom for simulating a portion of a human being includes a body portion providing an analytic outer shape of the phantom, the outer shape being similar to a shape of at least a portion of the human being, the body portion having a first physical characteristic of a first value similar to a second value of the first physical characteristic corresponding to human soft tissue, and at least one internal component disposed in the body, the internal component having an analytic shape approximating an internal portion of human anatomy and having a third value of the first physical characteristic different from the first value.
