Abstract: A signal transferring unit includes a base having a connector for connecting an inlet line and an outlet line. A bolt is threadedly connected to a hole defined in the base and the earth line extends through a transverse passage which is in communication with the hole. A protrusion extends longitudinally from a distal end of the positioning member and a positioning piece is rotatably mounted to the protrusion and has a recess defined in an underside thereof such that the earth line is engaged with the recess.

Abstract: A radiation field detection system, for use with a radiating device, includes a radiation detector configured to receive radiation and to provide radiation strength indicia of amounts of radiation received, a positioning mechanism connected to the radiation detector and configured to physically move the radiation detector, and a processor coupled to the positioning mechanism and coupled to the radiation detector to receive the radiation strength indicia, the processor being configured to: actuate the positioning mechanism to move the radiation detector to desired locations within a radiation field produced by the radiating device; analyze the radiation strength indicia from the radiation detector; correlate positions of the radiation detector with corresponding amounts of received radiation; determine a first location of maximum detected radiation; and determine a first relationship between the first location of maximum detected radiation and a second location of maximum radiation.

Abstract: A real, physical radiation phantom for simulating a portion of a human being includes a body portion providing an analytic outer shape of the phantom, the outer shape being similar to a shape of at least a portion of the human being, the body portion having a first physical characteristic of a first value similar to a second value of the first physical characteristic corresponding to human soft tissue, and at least one internal component disposed in the body, the internal component having an analytic shape approximating an internal portion of human anatomy and having a third value of the first physical characteristic different from the first value.
