Abstract: Glove that provides integrated support for the hand and wrist of a person engaging in an activity such as weightlifting. The glove has a body with front and back sides that overlie the palm and back of the hand, finger sleeves extending from the upper portion of the body, and a thumb sleeve extending from the front side of the body. A supporting wrap has a palm section that is affixed to and substantially coextensive with the front side of the body, a thumb piece that extends from the palm section and is affixed to one side of the thumb sleeve, and a strap that extends laterally from the thumb side of the palm section and is wrapped about the wrist and a portion of the palm section that overlies the wrist.

Abstract: A hand grip for use in the self-exercise of hand, wrist and forearm muscles. A pair of pivot elements are mounted about a common pin for pivotal back and forth movement so that the head ends of the elements move together and apart. A force resistance elastomeric member having an interior cavity is releasably mounted on the head ends. Forces applied by the user in repetitively squeezing handles together cause the head ends to move apart against the yieldable resistance of the member. The member's elastic memory causes the elements to pivot back as the user releases his or her grip. A slot in the elastomeric member through which the head ends are mounted enables easy interchange between members of different elastic strengths to provide for a wide range of force resistances.

Abstract: A multi-part diving fin includes a blade portion having a tip and a shoe end opposite the tip, the shoe end at least partially defining a foot pocket, and a foot plate formed as a separate piece from the blade portion and having a formation for releasably engaging the blade portion, the foot plate configured so that upon engagement with the blade portion, the foot plate provides a bottom of the foot pocket. The present fin also features a vertical adjustment of the height of the foot pocket, as well as stiffness adjustment for the blade portion of the fin.

Abstract: A reactive energy apparatus providing a custom fit and ankle support in a shoe upper is comprised of a pair of fluid filled pads that are positioned in the upper on opposite sides of the Achilles tendon of the wearer. The fluid filled pads each contain one or more interior chambers containing fluid, and the pads are connected in fluid communication by a series of conduits extending between the pads and around the Achilles tendon of the wearer. The conduits are constructed to enable the free flow of fluid between the two pads, enabling the apparatus to provide a continuous custom fit and dynamic support for the wearer's ankle while avoiding exerting any pressure on the Achilles tendon of the wearer that could potentially injure the tendon.

Abstract: The specification discloses a diver's snorkel having an elongated tube with a fitting at the end incorporating a mouthpiece. Distal from the mouthpiece is a water drainage purge chamber extending away from the mouthpiece. The entrance conduit interconnecting the elongated tube to the mouthpiece and the purge chamber is at an angle sloping downwardly from the mouthpiece during use. The purge chamber is angled inwardly toward a diver's chin when in use so that the axis thereof is at an angle to the axis of the mouthpiece. The purge chamber has a purge valve distal from the mouthpiece and incorporates a chamber of significant volume for drainage from the mouthpiece and the elongated tube in an unobstructed manner.

Abstract: The specification herein sets forth a combination buoyancy compensator, backpack and suspension system for divers. The suspension system incorporates a spider which is made of elastomeric foam and a knitted material that conforms closely to a user's body. The backpack is formed from an inverted T, the lateral portions of which surround a user's waist and the upright portion is adapted for receipt of a cylinder of breathing gas. The buoyancy compensator is attached to the spider at the shoulder portions and the waistband portions. The attachment is by means of adjustable loops which allow for independent suspension of the buoyancy compensator so that when it is filled it does not bind a diver. The straps interconnecting the spider, shoulder portions and the waistband portion are in a crisscross configuration to allow for freedom of movement of a diver's arms.

Abstract: The disclosure in the specification sets forth a digital diving meter providing information on an axis to be readily observed in reading the information along the axial line of the display. The display is incorporated within the diving meter movement having a cover thereover. The cover comprises a cover for the digital dive meter having a handle extending therefrom at an axis form the axial line of display for ease of holding and reading the information.
