  • Publication number: 20080286201
Abstract: The present invention relates to diagnostic imaging agents for in vivo imaging. The imaging agents comprise a synthetic caspase-3 substrate peptide labelled with an imaging moiety suitable for diagnostic imaging in vivo. The invention also provides radiopharmaceutical compositions comprising the imaging agents, together with kits for the preparation of the radiopharmaceuticals. Also described are non-radioactive precursors suitable for the preparation of the imaging agents. The imaging agents are useful for the diagnostic imaging and or therapy monitoring in vivo of various disease states where caspase-3 is involved.

  • Patent number: 7363132
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention recite a method and system for controlling steering dead band in a mobile machine. In one embodiment, a first dead band value for actuating a steering mechanism in a first direction is determined. Then, a second dead band value for actuating the steering mechanism in a second direction is determined. The first dead band value and the second dead band value are then stored as discrete values.

  • Publication number: 20070067602
Abstract: Systems, methodologies, media, and other embodiments associated with mitigating the effects of context switch cache and TLB misses are described. One exemplary system embodiment includes a processor configured to run a multiprocessing, virtual memory operating system. The processor may be operably connected to a memory and may include a cache and a translation lookaside buffer (TLB) configured to store TLB entries. The exemplary system may include a context control logic configured to selectively copy data from the TLB to the data store for a first process being swapped out of the processor and to selectively copy data from the data store to the TLB for a second process being swapped into to the processor.

  • Publication number: 20070052725
Abstract: A method and system for displaying a menu to a user via a user interface. The processor with instructions identifies an image type corresponding to a displayed image. Upon this determination, the processor selects a mask corresponding to the image type. Thereafter, the processor modifies the displayed image using the selected mask. As a result, a user can access other applications via an overlay menu while experiencing a current page or current application. Furthermore, a user select menu items and navigate through a menu while viewing an image in the background via a semi-transparent mask.

  • Publication number: 20070039454
Abstract: An assembly for indicating when a transient electronic event has occurred on a mobile platform is provided. The assembly includes a housing and a flash-producing device that communicates with the mobile platform and produces a flash approximately when the event occurs. The housing couples to the body of the mobile platform and contains the flash-producing device in such a manner that the flash is observable. Preferentially, the assembly also includes a faceplate that couples to the housing and maintains an aerodynamic profile associated with a surface of the body when the assembly is coupled to the mobile platform. In another preferred embodiment, the assembly is adapted for use with an inert JDAM weapon and the event is the fuze command of the weapon.

  • Patent number: 7139278
Abstract: In a packet communications network system, a border gateway protocol is employed to route an information packet from a source in a first autonomous system via a first label switched path to a destination in a second autonomous system via first and second border routers at an interface between the first and second autonomous systems. A label stack attached to the packet identifies both a forwarding interface for the packet and a forwarding behaviour at that interface. This provides a mapping from the first label switched path on to a second label switched path to the destination in the second autonomous system. Preferably, the destination router in the second autonomous system returns to the source router in the first autonomous system a two-label stack identifying first and second paths across the first and second autonomous systems respectively.

  • Publication number: 20060231173
Abstract: A method of producing magnesium alloy strip, suitable for use in the production of magnesium alloy sheet by rolling reduction and heat treatment, involves casting magnesium alloy as strip, using a twin roll casting installation. In the casting, the thickness and temperature of the strip exiting from between rolls of the installation are controlled whereby the strip has a microstructure characterised by a primary phase having a form selected from deformed dendritic, equiaxed dendritic and a mixture of deformed and equiaxed dendritic forms. The resultant strip is amenable to production of sheet material by application of a homogenizing heat treatment followed by rolling and annealing.

  • Publication number: 20060195238
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention recite a method and system for implementing automatic vehicle control with parameter-driven disengagement. In one embodiment, a course for a vehicle is determined along which the vehicle is to be automatically guided. An indication is received that a pre-defined parameter has been exceeded. In response to receiving the indication, the generation of steering commands is then suspended. Furthermore, the generation of steering commands is suspended until an engagement signal is received.

  • Publication number: 20060181707
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and device that use spectral measurements of the color of a target coating on a substrate, such as auto body being matched. The method utilizes pigment mixture models to produce a matched coating composition that when applied as a coating matches in appearance with that of the target coating, while also providing other desired coating properties, such as durability, gloss and adhesion. Various colorant combinations are analyzed to produce approximate spectral curves that substantially match the spectral curve of the target color. A colorant optimization function is then used to identify the optimum formula. This function utilizes acceptability factors, such as closeness of match based on a color tolerance formula, metamerism indices, shape of spectral curves, cost, and pigment durability. Each factor is weighted according to the specific end-use of the composition.

  • Patent number: 7046669
Abstract: A label switched path is determined in a communications multi-service network comprising a plurality of nodes interconnected via quality of service capable tunnels to provide a QoS guarantee for a session in which resource availability from the network edge to multiple central stages and resource availability from the multiple central stages to the destination edge are established. A series of quality of service capable tunnels is selected by offering a plurality of candidate central stages to the destination edge and allowing the destination edge to select a complete path across the network. A label stack comprising a set of four labels is attached to a payload to define a selected sequence of tunnels.

  • Publication number: 20060031776
Abstract: A 10-Foot media user interface is herein described. A computer user interface may be designed for primary use as a 10-Foot user interface, where a user controls the computer using a remote control device, instead of as a traditional 2-Foot user interface where the user controls the computer using keyboard and mouse from directly in from of the computer. The 10-Foot user interface uses 3D space and animations to more clearly indicate navigation and selection of items in the user interface to the controlling user. Use of three-dimensional space also increases the display screen real estate that is available for content items, and allows the media user interface to move unselected items out of primary view of the user. The user interface may animate movement in three-dimensions to allow the user to more easily conceptually follow navigation of the user interface.

  • Publication number: 20060026641
Abstract: Methods and systems that enable users to find and view programs are described. In one embodiment, a user can access programs within a particular program type in an electronic program guide and select programs that are not available via a current electronic program guide. If programs are available from one or more provisional sources, the user can acquire one or more program. In other embodiments, electronic program guide data is processed to identify movies within the guide data. A user can then browse a collection movies some of which are available via an associated electronic program guide and others of which are not available via the electronic program guide. For movies that are not available via the electronic program guide, a client device can ascertain whether such movies are available from a provisional service source.
