  • Patent number: 10384488
Abstract: A multi-layer or multi-section foam insert replacement for a pneumatic inner tube emulates the effect of air pressure, across a wide range of temperatures and pressures, while maintaining the weight of a conventional air-filled pneumatic tube. Through the use of different density materials and/or the orientation and thickness of such materials, desirable handling properties are achieved. The multi-layer/multi-section foam insert can be produced by steam molding or extrusion of foam materials.

  • Patent number: 10318153
Abstract: A processor modifies memory management mode for a range of memory locations of a multilevel memory hierarchy based on changes in an application phase of an application executing at a processor. The processor monitors the application phase (e.g., computation-bound phase, input/output phase, or memory access phase) of the executing application and in response to a change in phase consults a management policy to identify a memory management mode. The processor automatically reconfigures a memory controller and other modules so that a range of memory locations of the multilevel memory hierarchy are managed according to the identified memory management mode. By changing the memory management mode for the range of memory locations according to the application phase, the processor improves processing efficiency and flexibility.

  • Patent number: 10316604
Abstract: A diverter flowline seal assembly for use in subsea drilling. The seal assembly includes a seal body having an inner diameter end and an outer diameter end formed of an inflatable elastomeric material having a first modulus. The inner diameter end of the seal body includes two diametrically opposed axially inward lip portions and two diametrically opposed axially outward base portions. Integrated with the inflatable elastomeric material at the base portions of the inner diameter end of the seal body is a material having a modulus that is higher than the modulus of the inflatable elastomeric material so as to prevent the radial expansion of the lip portions and the base portions of the inner diameter end of the seal body.

  • Patent number: 10308332
Abstract: A full face mask and snorkel can include a full face mask and a rigid snorkel attached to the side of the mask. The side location of the ridged snorkel avoids peripheral ducting of air around the full face mask. The full face mask includes a main peripheral full face seal coupled to the mask's rigid support structure. The full face mask includes a separation seal dividing the full face mask into at least an upper chamber. The snorkel is affixed to the side of the full face mask at a location proximate to where the separation seal meets the main seal. A full face mask and snorkel can also include an exhalation valve located within the snorkel and proximate to the mask so as to avoid a volume of respirated air within the snorkel from being reinhaled into the lower chamber of the full face mask.
