This feature is provided by the ear panels which maintain sufficient tension to hold the diaper on the wearer throughout the period of use without harming the wearer's skin, while providing enough stretch to allow the diaper to be pulled up or down over the wearer's hips. The physical variation is a measurable difference as measured by a physical property selected from the group consisting of basis weight, thickness and density.

The receiving component has a first bond line, a second bond line, a bond zone, and a plurality of consecutive sweep regions. The second bond line is disposed adjacent to the first bond line such that a portion of the second bond line overlaps a portion of the first bond line. The bond zone circumscribes the first bond line and the second bond line. The plurality of consecutive sweep regions are disposed within the bond zone. Abstract: A personal care article including a thermoplastic magnetic member. The thermoplastic magnetic member is formed of a thermoplastic material with magnetic particles dispersed therethrough. The thermoplastic material comprises a resin selected from the group consisting of polyolefins, thermoplastic elastomers, polyamides, polyacetals, polyethers, polyesters, polyurethanes, poly(meth)acrylates, and compatible mixtures thereof. The magnetic particles are selected from the group consisting of magnetoplumbite-structure ferrite particles, rare-earth magnet particles, and mixtures thereof. The thermoplastic material may be disposed on a surface of a fibrous substrate. A surface of the thermoplastic magnetic member may be profiled. A second thermoplastic magnetic member may have an opposite magnetic polarity and a complementary surface profile such that the two thermoplastic magnetic members may be magnetically joined and mechanically interlocked when in a mated configuration.
