  • Publication number: 20210262281
Abstract: The construction of rapid opening thermally insulated roller doors is challenging in that there are both structural and operational challenges. The door blades need to have structural strength, and also need to have dimensional stability. Disclosed is a thermally insulated roller door blade in which at least the material forming the outer surface is able to resist the tensile loads during retraction, and the blade is provided with flexible spacer strips that help the primary insulating material of the door blade to maintain dimensional stability, primarily by helping to resist crushing. This allows softer materials to be used for thermal insulation than previously used, helping to reduce weight and to improve thermal efficiency, while at the same time allowing smooth and repeatable operation even when exposed to freezing temperatures for long periods.

  • Patent number: 11061798
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for monitoring technology usage and performance. In some implementations, use of a technology item by one or more individuals assigned to use the technology item is monitored. Based on the monitoring, usage data that indicates usage of the technology item is generated. One or more criteria for evaluating the usage of the technology item by the one or more individuals is identified. It is determined whether usage data satisfies the one or more criteria. A system performs at least one of (i) evaluating an alternative technology item for the one or more individuals, or (ii) providing, for display on a user interface, output data indicating whether the usage data satisfies the one or more criteria.

  • Publication number: 20210177646
Abstract: A method for promoting contraception by placing a contraceptive device within a uterus without blocking fallopian tubes may involve advancing a distal end of a delivery device through a cervix, advancing the contraceptive device comprising an elongate shape memory member out of the distal end of the delivery device and into the uterus, and limiting inferior migration of the contraceptive device within the uterus. Inferior migration may be limited by allowing the contraceptive device to assume a shape, when subjected to pressure that tends to cause a downward migration of the device within the uterus, in which an expandable middle portion of the device is expanded to contact the inner wall of the uterus and thus limit the downward migration of the device.

Abstract: The device includes a holder for retaining the knife blade in a fixed position with the cutting edge accessible from above. One end of a moveable abrasive part is situated above the cutting edge. The other end of the abrasive part is supported by a retaining member and sets the angle of the abrasive part relative to the knife blade when the abrasive surface contacts the cutting edge. The cutting edge is sharpened as the abrasive part in contact with the cutting edge is moved along the length of the knife blade. The abrasive part may be a stone or a rod with an abrasive surface. The retaining part may have a ring shape or take the form of a clamp which attaches to the stone in different positions.

  • Publication number: 20210135656
Abstract: A phase shifter for altering the phase of a radio frequency signal is disclosed herein. A Lange coupler is used having reflective ports that are coupled to artificial transmission lines. The artificial transmission lines provide a reflection transmission path, the length of which can be determined by digital control lines. Transistors placed along the length of the central trace provide independent paths to ground that serve to shorten the electrical length of the ATL. Accordingly, by selectively turning the transistors on/off, the electrical length of the ATL can be selected and thus the amount of phase delay introduced by the phase shifter.
