  • Patent number: 9690557
Abstract: A framework (referred to herein as Application Integration Architecture, or AIA) that formalizes and orchestrates activities in an SOA development lifecycle. In one set of embodiments, AIA can capture development-related information in a shared data store and cause the information to flow in an automated or semi-automated manner from one lifecycle phase to the next as the lifecycle progresses. This information flow can, in turn, facilitate automations at each lifecycle phase for the responsible stakeholders (e.g., solution architects, developers, installation developers, etc.), thereby enforcing SOA best practices, enhancing development productivity, and ensuring the quality of the final SOA deliverables.

  • Patent number: 9687407
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are provided for the treatment of lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) via the stretching of an affected user's restricted muscle(s), be it the extensor digitorum communis (EDC), extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB), supinator muscle, or any combination thereof. The apparatus can comprise various adjustable straps and rigid members configured to secure the apparatus to the user's arm and hold the user's interphalangeal joints, metacarpal phalangeal joints, and wrist in flexion, the user's forearm in pronation, and the user's elbow in extension. This combination of joint positions can constitute a desired position which, when held for prolonged periods, can cause the elongation of the restricted muscle tissue. This in turn can cause relief of the user's symptoms of lateral epicondylitis.

Abstract: A method for determining a lateral mode stiffness of one or more fluid tubes (103A, 103B) in a vibrating meter (5) is provided. The method comprises a step of vibrating at least one of the one or more fluid tubes (103A, 103B) in a drive mode vibration. Drive mode sensor signals (310) are received based on a vibrational response to the drive mode vibration. At least one of the one or more fluid tubes (103A, 103B) is vibrated in a lateral mode vibration, wherein the lateral mode is approximately perpendicular to the drive mode. Lateral mode sensor signals (317) are received based on a vibrational response to the lateral mode vibrations. The method further comprises determining a lateral mode stiffness (318) based on the lateral mode sensor signals (317).

  • Patent number: 9631876
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a stack of heat exchanger plate pairs that each define an internal volume and include an inlet and an outlet such that a first medium flows from the inlet to the outlet along a flow axis. The inlets together form an inlet header through the heat exchanger plate pairs and the outlets together form an outlet header through the heat exchanger plate pairs. The heat exchanger also includes an array of fins disposed between and in thermal contact with adjacent heat exchanger plate pairs. The array of fins defines flow channels between the adjacent heat exchanger plate pairs such that a second medium flows through the flow channels along the flow axis. One end of the array of fins includes a cut-out area which causes a first portion of the array of fins to be positioned laterally from either the inlet header or the outlet header.
