  • Patent number: 9277164
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for an improved video stream. The method involves taking video of a location and mapping points of interest that are in the range of the camera. Tags are associated with various points of interest and are inserted into the video stream and displayed to the users. Tags may include advertisements and information about particular locations. In certain embodiments, proprietors pay a fee to have a tag associated with their location. The user may be able to remotely control the camera to view a particular area, with the tags appearing at appropriate locations. Video streams from numerous cameras at varying locations may be made available on a website, and end users may select the camera they are interested in and control the camera via the website.

  • Publication number: 20150379820
Abstract: Aspects for pooling lottery winnings are disclosed. In a first aspect, a relationship structure is generated among nodes having a lineage of related nodes arranged in a hierarchy. A series of numbers are respectively assigned to a portion of nodes and a winning node is identified. Compensated nodes are then selected that include the winning node and at least one non-winning node. In another aspect, nodes are monitored over a series of lottery games in which winning nodes are tracked and compensated nodes are identified. Nodes are then valuated based on a corresponding historical winning metric according to lineage taken over the series of lottery games. In a further aspect, nodes are placed in a relationship structure and a winning node representing an actual lottery game win is identified. A distribution of a corresponding payout among compensated nodes is then ascertained.

  • Patent number: 7817315
Abstract: A method for adjusting a controller of a scanner includes obtaining a scan of a predefined image. The method further includes moving the sensor-element signals of the control signal pattern generated by the controller earlier in the pattern by at least one unit and obtaining an additional scan. The obtaining and moving are repeated until a comparison of a latest additional scan to the image is worse than a comparison of a second-latest additional scan to the image. Another method obtains a noise-reducing heuristic which modifies a time parameter of a sensor-element signal. A set of repeated scans of a same scan line is obtained, noise is measured there from, the time parameter is modified by one predetermined unit, and the process repeats until the noise measured from the latest set of repeated scans is worse than that from the second-latest set of repeated scans.

  • Publication number: 20080285096
Abstract: A scanning system for generating an image includes a scanning device configured to receive light reflected from a document and to output a signal corresponding to the received light to collect image data for use in generating an image. An automatic document feed system is configured to move the document from a position upstream of the scanning device toward a position downstream of the scanning device along a document feed path in proximity to the scanning device to allow the scanning device to receive light reflected from the document. A processor includes logic that compensates for changes in document movement past the scanning device using document motion data to reduce motion error induced image defects.

  • Publication number: 20070038498
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for allocating appointment time windows. The steps of this method include creating a statistical estimate of a daily schedule comprising a series of estimated service orders. An actual service order is then received. This actual service order is inserted into the daily schedule by using a set of scheduling instructions for determining the least cost to employ the available service resources. At this point, this actual service order does not have a system imposed time window. The set of scheduling instructions is used to determine a time window surrounding this insertion point. If the customer accepts this time window, then the closest estimated service order is replaced by this actual service order, and the daily schedule is recomputed based upon the revised set of service orders to yield a revised daily schedule.

The additive functions to significantly reduce the amount of time required for the surface coating to cure and thereby allows the coated or sealed surface to be quickly returned to service. Preferably, the additive is composed of a composition of fly ash, hydrous ammonia, water or solvent, and bentonite. This formulation, when added to a liquid surface sealant or coating, will create an active process within the film of the said sealant or coating which draws water out of the film extremely fast, thereby reducing the amount of time required for the surface coating or sealant to cure.
