  • Patent number: 10577571
Abstract: The invention discloses cleaning compositions which employ a synergistic combination of a ester solvent, preferably a fatty acid methyl ester in combination with one or more linear alkyl amines. The alkyl amines act as to remove and suspend organic oils which have been burnt or adhered to a surface with heat and may even be used alone as a soil removal agent. The cleaning compositions have particular use in cleaning of distillation towers associated with biofuel, and vegetable oil refining, but also find use in cleaning ovens, food cooking surfaces and even dry cleaning.

  • Patent number: 10517293
Abstract: Methods and compositions for biofilm remediation are disclosed. Biofilm is reduced and removed from soiled surfaces by providing to a surface in need an effective amount of a composition comprising a biocidal surfactant and at least one organic solvent. According to the invention, the biofilm remediation compositions reduce and remove biofilm formation by administering a one-step cleaner and disinfectant. The biofilm remediation compositions are stable and effective in concentrated and diluted ready-to-use formulations comprising an anionic sulfated or sulfonated surfactant that is not an organocarboxylic acid, a sparingly soluble organic solvent and optionally a soluble organic solvent.

  • Publication number: 20190022088
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of treating an animal having a non-cancerous medical condition that is ameliorated by treatment with a trypsin inhibitor, the method comprising obtaining a biological sample from the animal; testing the sample to obtain a trypsin concentration, wherein, if the trypsin concentration is above the upper limit of the normality, the animal is treated for a suitable period of time by administering to the animal a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier and the compound N-?-(2,4,6-triisopropylphenylsulfonyl)-3-hydroxyamidino-phenylalanine-4-ethoxycarbonylpiperazide, the stereoisomers, racemic mixtures, metabolite, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, crystal, or any combination thereof. In an embodiment, the non-cancerous medical condition is an inflammatory digestive disease selected from the group consisting of pancreatitis, gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease.

  • Publication number: 20180312779
Abstract: Cleaning compositions that include a non-functionalized alkyl polyglycoside, a nonionic surfactant system, and water. In certain embodiments, the cleaning compositions are substantially free of alkyl phenol ethoxylates. Additionally, some embodiments of the invention are substantially free of butyl cellosolve. The cleaning composition is capable of removing both proteinaceous food soils and hydrocarbon-based oily soils. The cleaning compositions include a biorenewable, environmentally friendly alternative to nonyl phenol ethoxylates and exhibit superior cleaning of food soils.

  • Publication number: 20180127683
Abstract: A composition comprises from 0.1 to 30 wt-% of one or more amino acids, 0.1 to 30 wt-% of one or more surfactants, and optionally one or more hydrotropes. The amino acids may be selected from arginine (“ARG”), lysine (“LYS”), histidine (“HIS”), glycine (“GLY”), or combinations thereof. The composition can be formulated as a cleaning composition, such as a hard surface cleaner, a floor cleaner, or a degreaser. The composition can be used in a method for treating a surface, where the composition is applied to the surface and allowed to remain on the surface for a length of time, and the surface is then wiped.
