The point of sale sends an amount of sale to authorize to the wallet processor after completing scanning of items. The system creates an authorization for payment and sending the authorization for payment to an authorizer. The transaction may then be completed by processing payment.

Abstract: A mobile electronic device detects a first virtual Bluetooth low energy (vBLE) signal from a first vBLE transceiver associated with a first merchant transaction device and a second vBLE signal from a second vBLE transceiver associated with a second merchant transaction device. An overlap region is determined including a first region corresponding to the first vBLE signal and a second region corresponding to the second vBLE signal. A checkout area is selected corresponding to the first region in response to receiving, from the first merchant transaction device, an indication of an external device receiving the second vBLE signal but not receiving the first vBLE signal. The mobile electronic device is then paired to the first merchant transaction device and a payment transaction is initiated with the first merchant transaction device.

Abstract: A method for authenticating an online transaction on a first computing device using a second computing device including detecting a request to process sensitive payment information input on the first computing device to complete a transaction, determining that a condition is present associated with the transaction, disabling a payment processing function of the website to prevent a payment from being processed and completed, generating a unique identifier to be displayed on the first computing device, wherein the user scans the unique identifier with a second computing device to initiate an authentication function, authenticating the user operating the first computing device, and enabling, by the processor, the payment processing function of the website to allow the payment to process.

Abstract: Examples provide customized authorization of item self-returns. A customized returns manager component calculates a customized return-trust score and a per-item return value based on analysis of item data and transaction history data. If a per-user return-trust score is within an unacceptable threshold range or an item value is within an unacceptable threshold value range, a second user is assigned to assist a first user with completion of the proposed return of the selected item. If the per-user return-trust score and the item value is within an acceptable threshold range, a return authorization component authorizes unassisted self-return of the selected item. An item disposition component determines in real-time whether to permit the first user to keep the selected item or instruct the first user to return the selected item to a designated item return area prior to completion of the item return based on a set of item disposition criteria.

Abstract: Provided are check-in to checkout systems and methods. The system includes a point of sale, a display, a mobile device, and a backend system. When the POS starts a transaction, such as, but not limited to scanning an item, the POS generates a transaction/basket identification. In response to starting the transaction, the POS sends the transaction/basket ID to the display in the form of a QR code or one-dimensional barcode. The mobile device operating a mobile application scans and captures the displayed code and reports to the backend systems. The backend systems then send a check-in event, which includes gathered data by the backend systems, to the POS and the POS acknowledges receipt of the message. At this point, a notification may be sent to the mobile application that the check-in was successful and a link is established for flow of information.

Abstract: A robotic system is integrated with one or more mobile computing devices. Physical configurations of individual components of the system in physical space, or agents, under control of a user or users, are duplicated in a representation in virtual space. Some degree of real-time parity is maintained between the physical and virtual spaces, so as to implement a virtual environment that mirrors the physical one. Events occurring within one environment can directly influence and bear consequence on the course of events occurring within the other environment. Elements of virtual space thereby become truly interdependent and unified on a peer footing with elements in physical space. In at least one embodiment, the system is implemented as an application in entertainment, such as the manifestation of a video game in physical space.

Abstract: A computer system, computer program product, and method includes detecting a request for sensitive information to be input by a user, determining that a network is a non-secure network, disabling a sensitive user information input function to prevent the user from entering sensitive information over the unsecure network, generating a unique identifier to be displayed on the computer, wherein the user scans the unique identifier with a mobile device to initiate an automatic transaction over a secure network between the mobile device and the computing system, validating the user operating the mobile device and completing the automatic transaction over the secure network with the mobile device rather than over the unsecure network with the computer.

Abstract: A point-of-sale system is provided that permits users to self-manage prepaid debit cards. Such a system may be capable of identifying and managing a number of different prepaid debit cards provided by different card issuers. The system may permit, for example, a user to purchase, activate, load funds, or perform other management operations with such cards. The system may also enforce restrictions associated with particular card types, and follow process flows for activating and performing other operations of such cards. The system may also be easily extendible to other types of prepaid cards through established card network relationships.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for passively monitoring a health condition of a subject using a mobile device. In some aspects, a method includes producing a set of quantitative metrics based on one or more parameters including location, movement, and sound obtained from the mobile device, where the produced set of quantitative metrics includes a location cluster value, a travel distance value, a frequency of conversation value, and an activity value, each of the quantitative metrics over a respective predetermined time period; and processing the set of quantitative metrics to determine a metric indicative of a current clinical state of the subject in connection with one or more measures including daily routines, mood or energy of the subject. Using the sensed parameters, rhythmicity markers and/or departure from stability can be predicted to alert a caregiver of the patient's health status, such as a current mental health state.
