  • Patent number: 7162565
Abstract: An improved bridge circuit for connecting a disk drive with an ATA interface to a computer via a USB bus. After the bridge receives the first data from the ATA interface, the bridge makes the assumption that the next read command will probably be for the next sequential data word and the interface issues a read command for the next sequential data word. After an accessing delay, the second data word is received by the bridge. When the bridge does in fact receive the next read command from the host, a check is made to see if the second read command is for the next sequential location from the first read command. If it is, the already fetched data is provided to the host without delay. If it is not, the process is handled as was the first read command.

  • Patent number: 7072989
Abstract: A device capable of operating at both a low power mode and at a high power mode which is connected to a host by a USB connection. The device includes a non-volatile memory which stores the operating state of the device when the host goes into hibernate mode and a flag which indicates that the host has entered the “hibernate” mode. When the device powers up, the previous state of the device is read from the memory. If the previous state was high power and the hibernate flag is set, the device restarts in high power mode without the need of any initialization to determine if the host will allow operation at high power speed mode. The device determines that the host is going into suspend mode (rather than power down mode) by determining if a suspend signal on the USB bus is followed by a power down operation.

  • Publication number: 20060120211
Abstract: A method for manufacturing encoded microclustered liquids comprising: providing a starting liquid; shielding said liquid from unintentional vibrational and electromagnetic sources; mechanically vortexing said liquid until desired surface tension and zeta-potential are achieved; encoding said liquid with desired vibrational and electromagnetic sources; and bottling said liquid.

  • Publication number: 20050279353
Abstract: An intra-convertible thermal vapor extraction and delivery system comprising: an ergonomically-shaped casing comprising a heating element, a fan, an output nozzle thermally coupled to the heating element and having a nozzle base and a tapered nozzle end, and a nozzle sleeve; and a cradle having a bottom surface and a top surface, wherein bottom surface is substantially planar, and top surface is substantially concave so as to accept and securely hold the casing, wherein the fan is positioned substantially behind the heating element so as to blow ambient air through the element, heating it to a desired temperature, and forcing it through the output nozzle, and wherein the nozzle base is positioned to receive the air before the tapered nozzle end, and the nozzle base has a greater outer diameter than the tapered nozzle end, creating a step at the transition between the nozzle base and the tapered nozzle end.

  • Patent number: 6311294
Abstract: A USB device for communicating data from the device to a USB host is provided. The USB device may have an interrupt or isochronous endpoint for communicating interrupts to the host and a bulk data endpoint for communicating bulk data to the host. The USB device may communicate a signal over the interrupt or isochronous endpoint to the host indicating that the device has bulk data to communicate to the host and may communicate bulk data over the bulk endpoint in response to bulk data requests from the host generated based on the signal over the interrupt or isochronous endpoint.

  • Patent number: 5456090
Abstract: An insertion container is disclosed for use with a traditional type baby bottle with detachable cap and nipple. A preferred embodiment of the container includes a longitudinal tube filled an preferably presealed with a chilled nontoxic liquid such as frozen ice water. The tube is then inserted into a baby bottle and is supported within the bottle by a base rim which is located in the area between the top of the mouth of the bottle and the bottle cap. The base rim can include through holes for allowing baby bottle formula such as milk and the like to flow to the nipple portion of the bottle. Optionally, the base rim can include a rubber type plug to seal the holes and prevent the formula in the bottle from spilling outside the bottle. The elongated insert tube can be sized longer for large bottles and alternatively curve shaped for use with bottles that have a center through hole for gripping the bottle.
