  • Patent number: 10187670
Abstract: A method and system for datacasting and content management. Such a system may have, as its core, a dashboard system for managing data feeds. A dashboard system may receive data feeds from one or more associated devices, such as the hardware devices of first responders or other public safety officers, and may aggregate and prioritize them. The dashboard system may then manage, prioritize and encrypt the video, files and other data in preparation for broadcast over the television or satellite transmitter, via, for example, a television broadcasting station, and may then broadcast the video, files, or other data to a plurality of users. Alerts and notifications may be created, files attached and links to video streams distributed over this same broadcast network. The broadcasting system may be able to send multiple streams of content simultaneously, may be able to target specific users to be broadcast to, and may be able to incorporate data from public data sources, such as public security cameras.

  • Publication number: 20190010109
Abstract: A process for producing acetic acid is disclosed in which the methyl iodide concentration is maintained in the vapor product stream formed in a flashing step. The methyl iodide concentration in the vapor product stream ranges from 24 to less than 36 wt. % methyl iodide, based on the weight of the vapor product stream. In addition, the acetaldehyde concentration is maintained within the range from 0.005 to 1 wt. % in the vapor product stream. The vapor product stream is distilled in a first column to obtain an acetic acid product stream comprising acetic acid and up to 300 wppm hydrogen iodide and/or from 0.1 to 6 wt. % methyl iodide and an overhead stream comprising methyl iodide, water and methyl acetate.

  • Patent number: 10173955
Abstract: A process for producing an acetic acid product having low butyl acetate content via a carbonylation reaction. The carbonylation reaction is carried out at a temperature from 100 to 300° C., a hydrogen partial pressure from 0.3 to 2 atm, and a metal catalyst concentration from 100 to 3000 wppm, based on the weight of the reaction medium. The butyl acetate concentration in the acetic acid product may be controlled by removing acetaldehyde from a stream derived from the reaction medium and/or by adjusting at least one of reaction temperature, hydrogen partial pressure, and metal catalyst concentration.

  • Patent number: 10169623
Abstract: A security apparatus that can detect unauthorized alterations of physical arrangement of a computing system or unauthorized movements of a computing system through the use of acoustic signals is designed. Modules of a computing system including the security apparatus are able to generate acoustic measurements from received returned acoustic signals. Also, the modules are able to derive baseline acoustic measurements based on stored acoustic profiles. If, for any module of the computing system, its generated acoustic measurements do not substantially match its baseline acoustic measurements, the mismatch may indicate that there is an unauthorized alteration of physical arrangement of the computing system or an unauthorized movement of the computing system. Thus, the security apparatus in the module may take actions to prevent access to the sensitive data stored in the module.

  • Patent number: 10112222
Abstract: A method and system resolves failures in a submersible pump. The method and system may receive data from one or more sensors associated with the submersible pump. The method and system may analyze the received data to detect a failure in the submersible pump. The failure may be due to a build-up of debris or particulates that has caused the submersible pump to stall or jam. To resolve the detected failure, the method and system may activate a mechanical shaker coupled to the submersible pump that produces vibrations to physically shake the submersible pump.
