  • Publication number: 20200287295
Abstract: An antenna stack includes a glass cover having an outer face, an inside face opposite the outer face, and a body therebetween. The glass cover additionally has a cavity formed therein, extending into the body from the inside face. The antenna stack further includes an antenna patch positioned within the cavity, and a waveguide layer. The waveguide layer includes polycrystalline ceramic underlying the glass cover. Conductive vias extend through the polycrystalline ceramic and partition the waveguide layer to form feed channels through the polycrystalline ceramic, and major surfaces of the polycrystalline ceramic are overlaid with a conductor having openings that open to the feed channels. The antenna patch is spaced apart from the waveguide layer to facilitate evanescent wave coupling between the feed channels and the antenna patch.

  • Publication number: 20200259061
Abstract: The present invention relates to a high-temperature thermocouple with a thermocouple wire including two dissimilar wires twisted together and covered with a polyimide-based leak-proof insulation coating. The thermocouple wire may include a welded hot junction attaching the two dissimilar wires together on one end and may be connected to a thermocouple connector located at an opposite end. A method for making the high-temperature thermocouple may include coating a pair of dissimilar wires with a leak-proof polyimide-based insulation coating by dipping of dissimilar wires in a liquid polyimide-based solution and curing the dissimilar wires with heat. The method may also include twisting the dissimilar wires around themselves, welding together the dissimilar wires to each other creating a welded hot junction, and attaching the opposite end of the dissimilar wires to a thermocouple connector. The leak-proof insulation coating and thermocouple connector may be rated for 800 degrees F. and 150 PSI.

  • Publication number: 20200174915
Abstract: A method for integration-testing a microservices-based application is performed by an automated software-testing system by using mock software entities. The mock entities emulate the behavior of other microservices or external software applications that would normally interact with the tested microservices in a production environment. The mock entities are managed by a mock server that communicates with the test system through a messaging system. The mock server determines how the mock entities should respond to the tested application's service requests by referring to test guidelines stored in a behavior store. During testing, the test system dynamically updates the behavior store in response to the tested application's service requests and to other indicators of the current state of the tested application. If the tested application interacts with the mock entities during the test as expected, the test system deems the application to have passed the integration test.

  • Publication number: 20200175589
Abstract: A system and methodology which permits users to share access to functionalities including those that analyze and execute trades of various financial instruments. While some information and activities associated with a user may be kept private and not shared with or made available to other users, other information and activities of that same user can be selectively made available to other individual users and/or groups of users. The determination as to whether information and/or activities of a user is available to other individual users can be made based upon a combination of preferences as specified by any or all of (i) the user creating the information and/or engaging in the activities; (ii) another user desiring to access the information and/or activities of the Sharing User; (iii) a group administrator and/or group decision making associated with a group of users having common interests; and/or (iv) preferences and controls set by one or more system administrators.

  • Patent number: 10592078
Abstract: In a method for supplying a graphical user interface in a vehicle, at least one object for representing a first subset of total information is graphically displayed on a display area in at least one first display mode. An operating intention of a user is detected. In addition, a relative position of the user with respect to the display area is ascertained. When the operating intention of the user has been detected, the object is transferred into a second display mode, in which the object is displayed perspectively or three-dimensionally pivoted about an axis at a pivoting angle in the direction of the relative position. In addition, a device is adapted for providing a graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20200082105
Abstract: A system and methodology which enables applications to provide selective permissioning to view, access and/or use features and functionality based on one or more criteria. These criteria may be selected from one or more characteristics associated with the specific user or user group accessing the application. Alternatively or in addition, the permissioning criteria may be based on the amount of payment or fees that the specific user or user group has paid in order to access the application. The usage of other criteria is also possible. For example, permissioning criteria may also include the specific time/day/period that user is accessing the application, the then-current overall usage of the application and/or related resources at the time the application is accessed by the user as well as other criteria.

  • Patent number: 10508618
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for diagnosing a vehicle fuel system for a presence or absence of undesired evaporative emissions. In one example, a method comprises conducting a test for undesired evaporative emissions stemming from a fuel system of a vehicle via in a first operating mode, evacuating the fuel system to a variable vacuum level through an entirety of a fuel vapor canister configured to capture and store fuel vapors, and in a second operating mode, evacuating the fuel system to the variable vacuum level through a portion of the fuel vapor canister. In this way, the diagnostic may be conducted in an environmentally friendly fashion, where analysis of a bleed-up portion of the test is not impacted by fuel volatility at the time of the diagnostic.
