  • Patent number: 10488277
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a Material's (“MTL”) mechanical properties. The methods comprise: coupling a first end of MTL to a First Mechanical Mechanism (“FMM”) movable in a First Direction (“FD”) and coupling a second end of MTL to a Second Mechanical Mechanism (“SMM”) movable in a Second Direction (“SD”); applying a first Pulling Force (“PF”) to MTL; applying an Oscillating Force (“OF”) to MTL; applying a second PF to MTL so as to cause any undulations in MTL to be removed and to cause a loading of fibers or polymeric units that support MTL; allowing MTL to oscillate through a series of cycles of loading and unloading; measuring a strain/stress on MTL as a function of time; determining a natural frequency of MTL based on the strain/stress; and determining an elastic modulus of MTL using the natural frequency.

  • Patent number: 9243888
Abstract: A method for imaging a sample. The method includes, during a single acquisition event, receiving depth-encoded electromagnetic (EM) fields from points on a sample that includes a first depth-encoded EM field for a first point and a second depth-encoded EM field for a second point, and redirecting the first depth-encoded EM field along a first predetermined direction to a first location on a dispersing re-imager and the second depthencoded EM field along a second pre-determined direction to a second location on the dispersing re-imager. The method further includes spectrally dispersing the first depthencoded EM field to obtain a first spectrum, re-imaging the first spectrum onto a first location on a detector, spectrally dispersing the second depth-encoded EM field to obtain a second spectrum, re-imaging the second spectrum onto a second location on the detector, and detecting the first re-imaged spectrum and the second re-imaged spectrum.

  • Publication number: 20070034750
Abstract: A mounting clip used to secure tubing used in various applications such as heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The clip comprises a resilient, flexible body and an arcuate channel or plurality of arcuate channels in which the tubing is retained by a flexible lip on the channels or other retaining means such as flat tying devices. The clip may also comprise a means for mounting in more that one plane and may contain a partial cylindrical opening to allow the axial insertion of a rigid tubing. The clip may also have a groove or scored mark that would allow this additional mounting section with the partial cylindrical opening to be broken off and used separately.

  • Publication number: 20050165526
Abstract: An imaging system of the invention includes an image array sensor including a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels generates a signal indicative of the amount of light received on the pixel. The imaging system further includes an analog to digital converter for quantizing the signals from the pixels into a digital value. The system further includes a memory including a plurality of allocated storage locations for storing the digital values from the analog to digital converter. The number of allocated storage locations in the memory is less than the number of pixels in the image array sensor. According to another embodiment, an imaging device includes an image sensor having a plurality of pixels arranged in an array; and a multi-layer interference filter disposed over said pixel array, said multi-layer interference filter being patterned so as to provide filters of different colors to neighboring pixels or groups of pixels.
