  • Patent number: 7630803
Abstract: An imaging system of the invention includes an image array sensor including a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels generates a signal indicative of the amount of light received on the pixel. The imaging system further includes an analog to digital converter for quantizing the signals from the pixels into a digital value. The system further includes a memory including a plurality of allocated storage locations for storing the digital values from the analog to digital converter.

  • Patent number: 7383315
Abstract: A method and system for a delta page protocol for caching, replication, and client/server networking. Measurement data may be received by a logger application on a first computer, and written to shared memory sections in a modular fashion, including creating one or more header records to indicate a changed status. Each shared memory section may be independently accessible by a trender application executing in a second computer. In response to a query from the trender, the first computer may send a single message, a delta page. The header record may be used to determine the changed status of data sections. A single write operation may store the data values in a memory of the second computer. The trender may then read the first plurality of data values. The trender may present the retrieved data or requested data on a display. The logging and trending may be performed substantially concurrently.

  • Patent number: 7191184
Abstract: A system and method for storing measurements. Each measurement may include bulk data and attribute data. The bulk data and the attribute data may be stored using different storage mechanisms. In one embodiment, relational database technology may be used to store the attribute data. • Publication number: 20070034750
Abstract: A mounting clip used to secure tubing used in various applications such as heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The clip comprises a resilient, flexible body and an arcuate channel or plurality of arcuate channels in which the tubing is retained by a flexible lip on the channels or other retaining means such as flat tying devices. The clip may also comprise a means for mounting in more that one plane and may contain a partial cylindrical opening to allow the axial insertion of a rigid tubing. The clip may also have a groove or scored mark that would allow this additional mounting section with the partial cylindrical opening to be broken off and used separately.

  • Patent number: 6984368
Abstract: An efficient process to produce calcium thiosulfate (CaS2O3) from lime, sulfur and oxygen is described. By selecting appropriate process conditions such as mole ratios of lime to sulfur, temperature and pressure of the reaction process and the oxidation conditions, including rate and duration, the concentration of byproducts in the resulting suspension can be reduced to about 2% by weight or less. The solid particulate dispersion in the suspension tends to form a slimy solid suspension that is hard to filter if not treated properly. The suspension then can be acidified and treated with a flocculent. This agglomerates the solids into a floc that filters with ease. The resulting calcium thiosulfate is a clear liquid with concentrations achievable up to 29%.

The number of allocated storage locations in the memory is less than the number of pixels in the image array sensor. According to another embodiment, an imaging device includes an image sensor having a plurality of pixels arranged in an array; and a multi-layer interference filter disposed over said pixel array, said multi-layer interference filter being patterned so as to provide filters of different colors to neighboring pixels or groups of pixels.

  • Patent number: 6721677
Abstract: A method and system for modular storage of measurement streams using a hierarchy of stream-processing objects. A first application may log measurement data of a plurality of data types to a shared memory location on a first computer, independent of the data type. Both the data and an index to the data may be logged. A second application may trend the data substantially concurrently as the data is logged. Both applications may include a plurality of filter objects, including a hierarchy of stream processing objects, which may operate to log/trend the data. Trending may include: (1) generating a query; (2) determining the location using the index; (3) accessing the data from the shared memory; and (4) displaying the data. The data may be replicated to an archival database, independent of the type of data. The replicated data may be transmitted to a plurality of computers.

  • Publication number: 20030105811
Abstract: A system and method for making technical data available across an enterprise which may contain multiple data stores distributed across networked servers. These distributed data stores create the impression that they are actually part of one central storage, referred to as a networked DataCache. The user may thus be able to find various kinds of technical data without knowing where they were from the start. The data may also be adequately self describing via meta-data so that a user or application is able to find it and use it without implicit knowledge of the data, its meaning, or its structure. The networked DataCache allows a user of measurements to know where a measurement is and what it means.

  • Publication number: 20020127727
Abstract: A method of performing a determination of an item of interest in a sample using a single structure is disclosed. A sample is provided accessible to the single structure. A first container for processing the sample is placed in a first process path on the single structure. The sample is transferred to the first container in the first process path. A reagent is added to the first container in the first process path. Contents of the first container is mixed in the first process path. The item of interest in the sample is separated from the contents of the first container in the first process path. The separated item of interest in the sample is transferred from the first container in the first process path to a second container in a second process path on the single structure. Contents of the second container is brought to a first temperature different from a temperature of the first process path in the second process path. The item of interest in the second container is detected in the second process path.

  • Patent number: 6192542
Abstract: A wheel supported sweeping machine includes a hopper which is movable between operating and non-operating positions and a conveyor which is adjacent the hopper and is similarly movable between a lower operating position and a raised non-operating position. There is a cylindrical brush mounted on the frame which directs debris into the conveyor, with the conveyor raising the debris for deposit into an opening in the upper end of the hopper, which is aligned with a similar opening in the conveyor. At times, debris may fall into the space between the conveyor enclosure and hopper. A debris collecting ramp is located beneath the hopper and extends upwardly and rearwardly toward the hopper from the conveyor enclosure. There is a seal between the ramp and conveyor enclosure which prevents debris from falling downwardly until the conveyor enclosure has been raised, at which time, the debris will be deposited by the ramp through a lower opening in the conveyor enclosure to an area in the front of the brush.
