Abstract: An accessory holder device for selectively mounting and retrieving accessories including a cylindrical body having an outer surface coupled to a peripheral protrusion. The peripheral protrusion is located toward the bottom of the outer surface to help prevent accessories mounted on the outer surface from sliding downward to a ground surface. The outer surface can additionally include gripping portions attached thereto in a predetermined pattern to further help prevent the accessories from sliding downward. The accessory holder device further includes an inner storage compartment formed therein for additional storage and a lid to selectively enclose the opening of the inner storage compartment.

Abstract: A database table of predefined data transformations is provided. Each predefined data transformation is associated in the table with a unique identifier, a corresponding description and a validity period. When a data modeler wishes to develop a data model for a desired prediction, he/she will first determine a set of variables that will be used therefor. The set of variables can include any of the predefined data transformations from the database table. The data model will then be developed by applying raw data to the set of variables and determining a mathematical relationship there between. Once the data model has been developed, the data modeler will write a reusable specification for applying the data model operationally. Thereafter, IT personnel or the like can code and deploy the data model using the specification.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method, system, and computer program product for dynamically generating business intelligence alert triggers. A method in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes: identifying an attribute; monitoring data values associated with the attribute; analyzing the data values to establish a baseline value; generating a trigger value based on a variance from the baseline value; and repeating the monitoring, analyzing and generation steps to dynamically refine the baseline value and the trigger value based on new data values.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for verifying a usage of a transportation resource by an object user of the transportation resource is disclosed. A peer group of users that are expected to behave similarly as the object user is established to determine a normal behavior that the object user is supposed to act consistent with. An observed behavior of the object user is compared to the normal behavior to verify a usage of the transportation resource by the object user.

Abstract: The invention provides a method, system, and program product for increasing the effectiveness of a customer contact strategy. In one embodiment, the method includes assigning a value to each of a plurality of customer events; assigning each of the plurality of promotion events to a “bucket” having a predefined range of values, based on a value of each promotion event; and selecting a customer event from the bucket having the highest range of values.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for evaluating a subrogation potential of a target insurance claim is disclosed. A peer group of claims that are expected to include similar behaviors as the target claim and have been successfully subrogated is established to determine a normal behavior that the target claim is supposed to include. A behavior of the target claim is compared to the normal behavior to evaluate a subrogation potential of the target claim. Proper subrogation solutions are prospectively chosen based on the determined normal behavior to increase efficiency.

Abstract: A system and method for performing data quality and validation analysis within a relational database management system (RDBMS). A method is provided that includes generating a summarization table for a set of data values using an RDBMS function after a modification of the set of values takes place; calculating a deviation from the summarization table using an RDBMS function; and querying the set of data values against the deviation to identify any suspect values.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and program product for accumulating and analyzing transactional data to detect a behavior change, which may be due to customer dissatisfaction. Specifically, under the present invention, a transactional data value is provided that reflects a measurement of transactions that have occurred in a particular time period. This transactional data value is then incorporated into a running mean and a running square and running standard deviation are computed therefrom. A variance of the transactional data value in terms of the standard deviation is then compared against a threshold to determine whether the transactional data value indicates a change in entity behavior. This allows the determination to be made without the need to store multiple transactional data values.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for evaluating a performance of an object customer support resource in providing a customer support service is disclosed. A peer group of customer support resources that are expected to behave comparably as the object customer support resource is established to determine a normal behavior that the object customer support resource is supposed to act consistent with in providing the customer support service. A behavior of the object customer support resource is compared to the normal behavior to evaluate a performance of the object customer support resource in providing the customer support service. Real time assignment of the customer support service is performed based on a result of the evaluation.

Abstract: A data warehouse having an operational layer is provided. The data warehouse stores historical data in an historical format that is based on operational data for an organization. The operational layer enables access to the historical data in an operational format that is used to store the operational data on which the historical data is based. The invention further provides a solution for managing the data warehouse with the operational layer. The operational layer can be incorporated in various solutions. To this extent, the invention further provides a solution for developing an application using the operational layer of the data warehouse.

Abstract: A tool for making a composite tubular structure, such as the inner skin of an acoustic liner, includes a base on which are mounted a plurality of sectors, each having an outer panel provided with a predetermined shaped surface. The predetermined shaped surface corresponds to a portion of the contour of the tubular structure to be formed. At least one of the sectors is fixed relative to the base while the remaining sectors are movable in a radial direction and separable from all the other sectors. The sectors are provided with air bearings to facilitate movement along a radial direction. Splice plates are used to form a joint between the outer panels of adjacent sectors. After composite material is applied on the outer panels, a vacuum bag is formed to surround the composite material and also the joint areas on the inner surface of the tool. The entire tool may be placed in an autoclave for curing.

A set of user behavioral attributes from acts generated by the user are identified while the user is using the resource. The set of user behavioral attributes are compared to a set of historical user behavioral attributes to form a comparison. Whether to accept a request from the user to access the resource is determined based on the comparison.

The computing system comprises a computer readable medium and computing devices electrically coupled through an interface apparatus. A plurality of different data mining modeling algorithms and test data are stored on the computer readable medium. Each of the computing devices comprises a data subset from a plurality of data subsets. A technique is selected for generating a data mining model applied to each of the data subsets. Each of the different data mining modeling algorithms is run simultaneously to generate an associated data mining model on each of the computing devices. Each of the data mining models is compared to the test data to determine a best data model. A best data mining modeling algorithm from the different data mining modeling algorithms is selected in accordance with the best data mining model.

The computing system comprises a computer readable medium and computing devices electrically coupled through an interface apparatus. A data mining modeling algorithm is stored on the computer readable medium. Each of the computing devices comprises at least one central processing unit (CPU) and an associated memory device. Each of the associated memory devices comprises a data subset from a plurality of data subsets. A technique is selected for generating a data mining model applied to each of the data subsets. The data mining modeling algorithm is run simultaneously, on each of the computing devices, using the selected technique to generate an associated data mining model on each of the computing devices. A best data mining model from the generated data mining models is determined in accordance with the selected technique.
