  • Publication number: 20060253318
Abstract: A system and method for optimizing and sequencing marketing events for offering to candidates. The system comprises a software application stored on a computer readable medium. The software application comprises an optimization tool and a timing tool. The optimization tool optimizes marketing events from a first list for candidates from a second list. Each marketing event from the first list comprises a marketing offer and an identified channel means for communicating the marketing offer. The timing tool determines an optimal sequence for offering each of the optimized marketing events to the candidates.

The database system comprises a first database structure storing a first list identifying marketing events, a second database structure storing a second list of candidates, and a database manager software application stored on a computer readable medium. The database manager software application comprises a grouping tool and an optimization tool. The marketing events from the first list are divided into a first plurality of groups. The grouping tool is for dividing candidates from the second list into a second plurality of groups and matching a first group from first plurality of groups with a second group from the second plurality of groups. The optimization tool is for optimizing and sorting the marketing events from the first group for all candidates from the second group.

  • Publication number: 20060253309
Abstract: A database system and method for ordering on demand a plurality of marketing offers for offering to a candidate in response to an inbound communication from the candidate. The database system comprises a first database structure storing a first list identifying marketing offers, a second database structure storing a second list of candidates, and a database manager software application stored on a computer readable medium. The database manager software application comprises an on demand optimization tool. The on demand optimization tool is for optimizing and sorting, the marketing offers from the first list with for a first candidate from the second list in response to an inbound communication from the first candidate.

  • Publication number: 20060248033
Abstract: A method, system, computer program product, and process for data mining within a message handling system in a computer system. The message handling system includes a message broker and queues. The message broker implements the method. An executing data mining algorithm operates upon a data mining model that depends on model parameters and on data values for independent variables published to the queues by at least one publisher. The data mining algorithm utilizes the model parameters and data values to generate at least one score. A decision algorithm applies at least one rule to the at least one score to generate at least one decision. The at least one score and/or at least one decision is published in a result queue. The at least one result is transmitted to at least one subscriber.

  • Publication number: 20060178982
Abstract: Scoring and detecting anomalies in a dynamic number of transaction records within a relational database management system by initiating a function for accepting and storing a transaction record in the relational database management system; This function and the analytics are integral to the RDBMS, as distinguished from extracting the data and passing the data to a separate application external to the RDBMS. The function determines if the transaction is for a different individual then a previous transaction or for the same individual. If the transaction is not for a different individual, adding the new transaction data to a memory work space and returning a NULL statement, otherwise passing the memory work space to a service. In the next step the memory workspace is accepted and an analytic model is executed to produce a score, and return the score to a calling function.

  • Publication number: 20060136415
Abstract: Application of a scalar function across a varying number of records within an RDBMS using the RDBMS's SQL capabilities. This is accomplished by determining a last row in a group of rows, sorting the rows and passing the sorted rows to a scalar function, where the scalar function accepts each row and stores the accepted rows in a temporary file space. When the last row is encountered, the aggregate value is calculated using all of the rows in the group, and then a filter is applied on the rows so that only a row with the aggregate value is returned.

  • Publication number: 20050228767
Abstract: A database table of predefined data transformations is provided. Each predefined data transformation is associated in the table with a unique identifier, a corresponding description and a validity period. When a data modeler wishes to develop a data model for a desired prediction, he/she will first determine a set of variables that will be used therefor. The set of variables can include any of the predefined data transformations from the database table. The data model will then be developed by applying raw data to the set of variables and determining a mathematical relationship there between. Once the data model has been developed, the data modeler will write a reusable specification for applying the data model operationally. Thereafter, IT personnel or the like can code and deploy the data model using the specification.
