  • Publication number: 20170293531
Abstract: In one example, backing up disk array volumes creates a snapshot of a volume of a disk array. Unshared blocks between a previous snapshot and the snapshot are identified to generate an allocation map. Source-side de-duplication is performed for a stream comprising the snapshot. The unshared blocks are folded into an endpoint store that includes a full backup of the volume, to generate a synthetic full of the volume.

  • Patent number: 9788112
Abstract: An active noise equalization (ANE) system may be run on the existing audio/infotainment system as a software library. The ANE system may share components (e.g., microphones and sensors) with other audio applications. Some ANEs include a complex-domain formulation of a multiple-frequency multiple-channel ANE that requires less memory and processing requirements. The complex-domain system replaces the multiplication of multiple real gains with multiple real signals with a single complex multiplication operation.

  • Publication number: 20170265160
Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a range detection system that includes a line-of-sight (LOS) emitter that outputs a LOS signal (e.g., visible light, infrared, etc.) which is detected at a receiver (e.g., a photodiode). The receiver outputs a signal representing the intensity of the LOS signal at the receiver. The output signal is converted into a digital signal which is then used to identify a distance value corresponding to the intensity of the LOS signal. For example, the range detection system may include a data structure that maps a plurality of digital signals to respective distance values. In this manner, the intensity of the LOS signal measured at the receiver can be correlated to a distance between the emitter and the receiver.

  • Patent number: 9760465
Abstract: Processor performance metrics are assessed by monitoring probes constructed using instruction sequences. A probe comprising an instruction sequence is selected. The instruction sequence can be configured to measure at least one hardware metric. A first probe value is received. The first probe value can be based, at least in part, on the hardware metric. The first probe value can be determined from execution of the probe in a first execution environment. The probe can be executed a second time to determine a second probe value. The second probe value can be based, at least in part, on the hardware metric. The second probe value is determined in a second execution environment including at least one workload. The first probe value and the second probe value can be compared to produce a performance assessment of the second execution environment.

  • Publication number: 20170241321
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for detecting NOx sensor degradation based on results from a NOx sensor self-diagnostic (SD) test performed after a key-off event. In one example, a method may comprise waiting a duration to perform a SD test of a NOx sensor after a key-off event until engine operating conditions stabilize and reach a set of qualifying conditions. One or more SD tests may be performed after waiting the duration, but outputs generated under conditions where one or more of a temperature at the sensor is greater than a threshold, and an oxygen concentration is outside a threshold range, may be excluded when determining whether or not the NOx sensor is degraded.
