  • Publication number: 20240077282
Abstract: An anti-cant indicator assembly, components thereof, and associated methods. The anti-cant indicator assembly indicates the orientation of a weapon with respect to vertical. The anti-cant indicator assembly includes a mount configured to mount to the weapon, a level including a vial containing a bubble and a pivot connection connecting the level to the mount. The pivot connection is configured to permit movement of the level with respect to the mount about the pivot connection between an operational position in which the bubble can be referenced by the user for indicating orientation of the weapon with respect to vertical, and a stowed position different from the operational position. The pivot connection can include a retainer configured to releasably retain the level in at least one of the operational position or the stowed position. The level can be selectively movable with respect to the mount to calibrate the anti-cant indicator.

  • Patent number: 11919365
Abstract: A method of operating a vehicle climate system when an ambient temperature is below a threshold temperature is provided. In response to an ambient temperature being less than a threshold temperature, a controller is adapted to operate a blower motor at a voltage that depends on whether the vehicle is in charge sustain mode or charge deplete mode. In response to an ambient temperature being greater than a threshold temperature, the controller is adapted to operate the blower motor at a voltage that does not depend on whether in the charge sustain or charge deplete modes.

  • Publication number: 20240073634
Abstract: A method of at least partially fitting a hearing prosthesis device to a recipient, including obtaining access to a sensory prosthesis that has been used to evoke a sensory percept using a first focusing regime for a temporal period corresponding to at least acclimation to the first focusing regime and adjusting a control setting of the prosthesis to increase focusing relative to that which is the case with respect to the first focusing regime, wherein the action of adjusting the control setting includes purposely adjusting the control setting to have focusing that is effectively less focused than a maximum focus possible.

  • Patent number: 11884657
Abstract: Compounds and methods are provided for the treatment of pathogen infections. In some embodiments, the anti-infective compounds have broad spectrum activity against a variety of infective diseases, where the diseases are caused by pathogens containing a basic amino acid PIP-2 pincer (BAAPP) domain that interacts with phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP-2) to mediate pathogen replication. Also provided are methods of inhibiting a PI4-kinase and methods of inhibiting viral infection. In some embodiments, the compound is a PI4-kinase inhibiting compound that is a 5-aryl-thiazole or a 5-heteroaryl-thiazole. The subject compounds may be formulated or provided to a subject in combination with a second anti-infective agent, e.g. interferon, ribavirin, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20240029232
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present technology relate to solutions for gas leak detection in natural gas extraction and storage environments. In some examples, a machine learning interface generates feature vectors based on video data that depicts a natural gas storage facility and feeds the feature vectors to a machine learning engine. The machine learning engine ingests the feature vectors and generates a machine learning output that indicates the presence of the gas leak in the natural gas storage facility. The machine learning interface receives the machine learning output that indicates the presence of a gas leak in the natural gas storage facility. The machine learning interface generates and transfers an alert based on the machine learning output.

  • Publication number: 20240015449
Abstract: Binaural hearing systems presented herein are configured to provide a recipient with magnified binaural cues. In certain embodiments, the techniques presented herein use static sideways beamforming with interaural magnification to capture and prepare sound signals for subsequent processing. That is, sound signals are captured at each of the binaural prostheses in accordance with a sideways directional pattern (e.g., directional patterns facing away from the head of the recipient). The sound signals captured with the sideways directional patterns, referred to as sideways directional signals, are then used to perform interaural magnification. In other embodiments, the techniques presented herein use constrained adaptive beamformers to capture sound signals for subsequent processing.
