  • Patent number: 9745917
Abstract: Described is a crankcase and a method for assembling a multi-part crankcase. The method can include providing a cylinder block and a bearing tunnel upper part. The cylinder block has a plurality of threaded holes into each of which a stud screw is screwed, where the stud screws protrude from the cylinder block. The bearing tunnel upper part has a plurality of through-holes, where each of the through-holes is arranged coaxially to a corresponding stud screw. On a side facing the cylinder head, each of the through-holes has an internal thread having a first direction of rotation. A plurality of threaded sleeves, each threaded sleeve has an internal thread that has a second direction of rotation, an external thread that has a first direction of rotation, and a driver profile for inserting a screwdriver tool in a positive-locking manner, are provided.

  • Publication number: 20170081983
Abstract: In the following, a camshaft arrangement will be described. In accordance with one example of the present invention, the camshaft arrangement has a camshaft housing, a camshaft arranged in the camshaft housing that has at least one first cam, as well as a second cam that is larger than the at least one first cam and that is rigidly connected with the camshaft. In addition, the camshaft arrangement has a drive wheel that is rigidly mechanically connected with the second cam or with the camshaft, as well as a slide bearing that is arranged coaxially between the drive wheel and the second cam. A bearing bush of the slide bearing is arranged in the camshaft housing or in a bearing cover that is mounted on the camshaft housing. The second cam or the drive wheel or a nut screwed on the camshaft has a running surface for the slide bearing.

  • Patent number: 8227931
Abstract: A power generating unit consists of an internal combustion engine (1) and a generator (2), the former comprising a crankshaft (8) received in a crankcase (5) and the generator comprising a generator housing (20) connected to the crankcase (5), a stator (36) and a rotor (30) that is connected so as to rotate with the crankshaft (8). The aim is to provide a power generation unit that requires little space and that allows a precise guidance of a rotor designed for the overall unit power. A concentric stub shaft (11) is fixedly connected at the one end to the crankshaft (8) and at the other end to the rotor (30). The generator housing (20), on its side facing the internal combustion engine (1), has a front plate (21) that accommodates a bearing (23) for the sub shaft (11). The rotor (30) is otherwise overhung.
